MRC President Brent Bozell appeared on Trish Regan Primetime on Friday and called out CNN and journalists who won’t do the basics of investigating controversies like Hunter Biden’s role in the Ukrainian company Burisma. Talking about the media’s resistance to covering the story (and forced mentions of it by Republicans during impeachment hearings), Bozell blasted, “They are upset that the Republicans are bringing this up. They are having to cover the Republicans live. But if it were up to them, and in fact when it has been up to them, they haven't said a thing.”
The MRC President connected it to CNN’s failing ratings, telling guest host Greg Jarrett: “Look at CNN's audience. Its collapsed. It's a worldwide network and it can't get 750,000 people in the United States of America. Its credibility has collapsed. The networks have collapsed. And it should collapse. If they are not going to report the news, if they are not going to investigate any story, if they are not going to tell the truth, I hope it does collapse.”

From what I understand, they get a cut of the cable bill regardless of ratings, at least up to some point.
That’s what a number of folks have said on here.
A lot of people still pay a monthly fee for all the channels.
But I would figure advertising is where they get the most money from.
Maybe losing money isn’t as important as getting left wing garbage out

The media deliberately and intentionally refuses to investigate and report on the crimes of democrats. They willfully report negative made-up stories about Republicans. They know what they are doing.

It’s just a matter of time before they are doing PBS-like fundraisers to stay on the air. Phone banks with Don Lemon and the entire Zuckerman “journalist” team manning the lines. Hawking mugs, calendars and “highlights” of their ground breaking investigative reports.
And allow Westerners to get an Eastern network feed of their choice, and vice versa.
