Kind of wild but the author makes an interesting observation in the last paragraph or two. Anyway, I remember when all the liberal pundits and Dems made fun of Trump for suggesting this.

I want to know the real reason we’re getting a space force.

The uniform is a silver jumpsuit and fishbowl helmet.

If we don’t have the capability yet, we need to put Rods from God in place. And we should not be reluctant to use them. I oppose nation building. I oppose boots on the ground. But devastating the bad guys from space? I’m OK with that.

I would envision it eventually assuming control over the AF portion of NORAD, the launch site at Vandenburg, and possibly part (or all) of NASA. It will also give some General the opportunity to be involved in their favorite past time... creating uniform changes!

The Pentagon is now officially outdated. We’re gonna need to build a Hexagon.

Kind of wild but the author makes an interesting observation in the last paragraph or two. Anyway, I remember when all the liberal pundits and Dems made fun of Trump for suggesting this. Could the Space Force eventually field manned, armed spaceships? In 1794, the year it was established, the United States Navy was equipped with just six frigates. Today the Navy numbers nearly three hundred warships worldwide. Who knows what the next 230 years could bring for the Space Force? But as exciting as a new military branch is, its not great news in the long run. Mankind brings war into every domain it entersfirst sea, then air, and now space. Its not a good record. As cool as it sounds, the militarization of space is a net loss for mankind.

Incorrect headline. The Space Force will be the 5th branch.
Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, Navy and Space Force.
The Marine Corp. is under the umbrella of the Navy, not a separate branch. The SEALS are comprised of both Marines and Sailors. Navy Procurement handles defense industry contracts for the Marines.
