DOJ IG Horowitz: FBI Employee Who Misled DOJ in Russia Probe Still Works There

WASHINGTON — Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz said the FBI employee who misled DOJ's Office of Intelligence about the relationship that Carter Page, former Trump campaign foreign policy advisor, had with the CIA still works at the FBI.

“What about the case agent who directly misled the DOJ, an Office of Intelligence attorney, about Carter Page’s relationship with other intelligence agencies in our government, who directly misled the OI about that, is that person to your knowledge still at the FBI?” Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) asked Horowitz at a Senate hearing on Wednesday.

“To my knowledge, that person is still there,” he replied.

"Why are they still there?" Hawley asked. "I think you would have to ask Director Wray," he responded. "I think we should," Hawley said.

During the hearing, Judiciary Committee Chairman Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) pointed out that "a lawyer supervising the FISA process at the FBI, according to Mr. Horowitz, doctored an email from the CIA to the FBI and he's going to be referred for criminal prosecution."

There should be a review of every case this person ever worked on.

There are thousands just like this employee. Nearly impossible to fire government employees because there’s always someone higher up who wants to keep them around to do their dirty work.

“Progressive” explanation:
“No testimony and no documentary evidence of bias in the key decision. And other evidence (such as the decision-making hierarchy) that established those who had expressed personal opinions hostile to Trump weren’t in a position to make the decision to open the investigation.”

Makes your head explode!!!

Fartwell read off a list of all the things they “could” have charged president Trump with. Gohmert and Johnson both asked him, then why didn’t you? Because they don’t exist!

I suspect there are some lawyers thinking about that right now...and rightly so.

Carter Page lawsuit is going to be interesting. The Federal Tort Claims Act provides a lot of protection. He has so many different ways he could try to sue.

Rush was hammering on the idiotic “No testimonial and no documentary evidence” proclamation yesterday. As if the criminals are going to write down their nefarious plots, plans, and schemes or testify “Ya got me, copper!”

Director Wray should start practicing his answer to why that individual has not been terminated for cause and why he wasn’t terminated within a week of learning of the falsification.

The only plausible explanation is that individual is providing evidence or testimony about other individuals that has been verified with other evidence.

From the article:

.."This, of course, is absolutely shocking. A lawyer at the FBI -- the very lawyer who's supposed to supervise the FISA process -- literally doctored an email in order to make Carter Page look like a Russian asset rather than as the CIA source he actually was... and he did so in order to be able to spy on Page and, through him, the presidential campaign of Donald Trump..."

Clinesmith is the lawyer

He/she didn’t mislead, he/she falsified evidence.

The texts of Strozk and Page are documented evidence... I think Horowitz stated they weren’t in the FiSA process so that in essence didn’t count...

Weasel escape clause....

No matter where they work, a Democrats FIRST priority is the Progressive movement. Probably more than half the FBI are Progressives. Conservatives OTOH have, God, Family, Country, Honor and other stuff as their guiding light

Carter Page was never hit with a perjury trap and/or charged by Mueller. I suspect there never will be a Page law suit because that would lead to the discovery that Page was a willing participant in Spygate.
