Judicial Watch: Federal Court Hearing on Awan Brothers, Congressional Democrat IT Scandal
Judicial Watch ^ | 12.11.19 | Judicial Watch

Posted on 12/11/2019 8:18:39 PM PST by malach

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that a federal court ordered a hearing for Friday, December 13, 2019, on the Congressional Democrat IT (information technology) scandal involving the Awan brothers.

The hearing was ordered in accordance with a November 2018 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, which was filed after the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) failed to respond adequately to two separate FOIA requests (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:18-cv-02563)).

Judicial Watch’s first request, filed on May 26, 2017, sought:

All records related to any investigations or preliminary investigations involving former congressional IT support staffers Abid Awan, Imran Awan, Jamal Awan, and Hina R. Alvi. As part of this request, searches should of records [sic] should include, but not be limited to, the FBI automated indices, its older manual indices, and its Electronic Surveillance (ELSUR) Data Management System (EDMS), as well as cross-referenced files. All records of communication sent to or from FBI employees, officials or contractors involving the subjects in bullet item 1.

The timeframe for the requested records is May 2015 to the present.

Judicial Watch has been waiting 2.5 years for these documents. Meanwhile our intel is likely floating around Pakistan and any country they can sell it to. Thanks, Awan bros and any Congressperson who supported them, you sold us down the river.

Under Obama the FBI turned into a pack of disgusting and shameful partisan rats.

I am wondering if it started before Obama in the Bush era during Mueller’s stint.

I was afraid this had fallen down the hole. I really believe it’s all going to happen. Not all at once, but it is beginning.

Awan was brought into the ‘system’ in early 2004, under a House Representative (Wexler of Florida, Democrat) who needed IT support in his office. For the record, Wexler was strongly attempting to impeach Cheney and suggesting Bush along the way as well, but that has nothing to do with Awan.

As months went by, Awan grew in terms of reputation, and became a shared IT expert asset for roughly 25 to 30 House members. Along the way, he introduced members of his family (I think it’s up around five) who got insider jobs to the House IT network. You have to remember as well...all at that point had American citizenship granted, along normal channels (nothing fishy).

There were various signals that Awan was corrupt. He was using the purchase card to buy all kinds of parts...all less than $500 each, and these items were being taken off-site (to the Awan house) and I would imagine that he was busy on Ebay selling the items. Graphic cards, hard-drives, etc.

This is what drew suspicion....not data-collecting. You can laugh about it, but if these idiots hadn’t gone to stealing, they’d still be in their jobs today and downloading internal emails.

To this day, no one can say how much they stole, or made through this pilfering effort. It might be $100,000....it might be half-a-million. You just don’t know.

I wish Trump would shut down the FBI, CIA and other intelligence agencies (that is an oxymoron if ever) and criteria for rebuilding has to be that
1) Any and all applications cants must have served in a private employment
2) Their employment is subjected to servant attitude (they serve as public servants)
3) NO previous gov’t job on their employment record except military and or police/fire or public servitude
4) Any activist activities is cause for dismissal
5) A full course on the Constitution followed by a rigorous testing of the laws prior to employment
6) Former Military shall be given high marks and opportunity for employment depending on their deployments and service

And
7) No spouses, or other family members may be employed by any gov’t or Special Interest organization. NO exceptions. (This would even include family members of the first family-yes, that meansJarod and Ivanka!)
I love Trump, but his family should not be involved in the running of our country. Just as Robert F Kennedy should never have been atty general...

Yes. JW is taking the Feds to court over their cr** about not releasing documents and getting somewhere. Hopefully in some areas it will not be too late.

You would have thought a Cong Rep could have brought an American IT person in instead of a Paki. The Dems suck.

Some might agree with your line of thinking. However, around the DC area...especially in 2000 to 2010 era, individuals who had IT certificates and credentials...were expecting a significant amount of pay (lets just say that $75k a year wouldn’t cut it). I knew Air Force IT people getting out and were being offered $100,000 as a starting point in that era. Contractors were easily making significant amounts of income within the IT field.

These Pakistani-Americans (they all held citizenship at that point), I think, were willing to accept the $45k salary starting point that the Congress folks were offering to be on their staffs...just to get their foot in the front door. We can laugh about this detail, but it’s what actually happened.

Another point, if their whole plan had been information-gathering and they’d stuck to the idea....this pilfering-and-reselling via Ebay would not have occurred, and this stupid import/export car ‘scheme’ would have been avoided. These guys had various illegal games at play....to make extra cash for their lifestyle. This idea about collecting data...would appear to have started later in their employment period.

If you go and dig through the data, most all of them were brought into the country in their youth (with the parents holding visas), and they eventually reached the citizenship point. I also think (no facts within the news media) that all still held the citizenship of their old country.

In the case of police investigations, I think they all realized that their little empire was crumbling. The police attention though....was more over pilfering and the import/export stuff with cars, and only at the end did the data-collection business come up.

As for Debbie? I think she started up an affair with Awan. Eventually, I think to get more leverage...Awan recorded their events and had some blackmail idea in place. Debbie may have had different guys enter the scene and just never thought about someone being ‘smart’ enough to blackmail her. Presently, she probably just wants the Awan business to go away, and the blackmail material to disappear.

Just my humble opinion, but eventually I think Awan will enter the scene again...threaten her with exposure for significant amounts of cash (probably over a million).

Little Debbie Schulz may end up eating her own “cookies” if the federals reveal espionage on the part of the Awan brothers and friends against the US Congress.

She’s dumb a s dog shit so I hope she goes down the crapper first.

It’s interesting that it’s coming out that the FBI changed the names like James Comey was James Corney so searches wont show up and, look at that we can’t find what you’re looking for.
