Time Person of the Year: Climate crisis activist Greta Thunberg.
CNN Business ^ | 12/11/2019 | Kerry Flynn

Time magazine has chosen Greta Thunberg, a Swedish climate crisis activist, as person of the year.

Each year, the magazine features the most influential person, group, movement or idea of the previous 12 months. Last year, it was "The Guardians," a group of journalists who have been targeted or assaulted for their work. In 2017, it was "The Silence Breakers," the group of people who came forward to report sexual misconduct. Past Persons of the Year include Adolf Hitler, Ayatollah Khomeini and Joseph Stalin.

Might be ass burgers. Or probably a combination of some form of autism and the fact that her parents are Marxist hippies.

Oh my gosh, terribly good choice if the idea is to enshrine someone who had zero effect on the issue they’re advocating for. Nothing came from her appearances. No new legislation, no new initiatives, even the few copycats just wandered away from the cameras after a short period of time.

Way to go, Time. You can feel good about doing nothing. What a waste.

Interesting that Time magazine chooses a teenage girl who is passionate about a liberal cause of the day.

Interesting that their choice has a monomaniacal attitude towards the chosen issue.

One of my problems with people such as her, is that they have no clue and no knowledge of history or how decisions are made in our complex world.

People like her think that world leaders are dictators, or should be dictators, so that they can decree global warming restriction on all of us, regardless of any negative consequences to such actions.

We could meet the Paris global warming targets tomorrow. Pull the plug on every power plant in the world tomorrow, and we would meet the goals. Of course, millions of people would die, but that collateral damage wouldn’t matter to idiots such as Greta. I know that’s a ridiculous example. But, just to say, these people do not give a **** about you and your lives and eschew any slow or minor changes towards the goals they allegedly care so deeply about.

Greta Thunberg is literally an actress:

“Time” magazine has sunk so low that their “person of the year” is a shitty little actress who put on a shitty little performance at the UN ...

a Swedish climate crisis activist

See how the language has shifted a bit again? It used to be "climate activist". Lately that has become "climate crisis activist". (Because, you know, the end is nigh..."

Very interesting comment! With her half closed eyes, very plain expressionless face, she almost does look like a Grey.

I disagree.

Grumpy Cat was cuter and much more intelligent than the Swedish freak.

Considering their choice of person’s of the year in the past, I’d say their pick is just keeping their trend going.

Time is not worth toilet paper.
