Bernie Sanders faced pushback from union members in Las Vegas on Tuesday over how the Democratic presidential candidate would fund a government-subsidized health care plan that would force union members to forfeit the benefits they’ve spent years bargaining for.
The 77-year-old independent U.S. senator from Vermont addressed a town hall meeting hosted by Culinary Union Local 226 and its parent union, Unite Here. Though union members in the crowd were widely supportive of Sanders – shouting “Bernie! Bernie!” as he wheeled out his stance on immigration, criminal justice and climate change – a group of about 12 people began to heckle the senator when he came to health care, according to the Washington Examiner.

Why would union members like his stance on immigration and letting criminals out of jail? Are they all brain dead?
Being a leftist means suppressing your visceral reaction to insane policies like letting violent criminals out of prison. You accept insane policies because the people promoting them are so smart and enlightened, and you want to be just like them. So, even though you do not understand the rationale behind letting unfettered illegal entry into the US, you embrace the policy because your enlightened leaders promote it.
A lot of union labor in Vegas are illegals.
Culinary Union. Kitchen workers. Huge employer of illegals.
Not only a substantial number of illegals, but very well off illegals. We stayed near the strip about three years ago before going home. It was disappointing, not only because the Las Vegas I used to know and love was gone but because the new Silverado truck which I had rented totally blended in with the vehicles of illegals at a local laundrymat. My wife has this thing about not wanting to pack dirty laundry home from a vacation.

LV Is a Rat stronghold... when people there are heckling Bernie, its a sign of the times.

Then again ‘Rats may be figuring out that a socialist economy won’t keep them in the style they’ve become accustomed.
