Fired FBI Director James Comey ought to be embarrassed.
The Inspector General's long awaited report on FISA abuses is out, revealing a systematic pattern of abuses at the bureau on Comey's watch. Rules broken all over the place, nobody punished, nobody following procedures. Under Comey, 'hain't I got the power,' was pretty much the only recognizable modus operandi. That must have been some atmosphere of lawlessness in the once proud agency, and yes, the bureau has since lost public trust as a result of it.
Bother him in the least? On the contrary, he's claiming the whole ethical shambles vindicates him. His deputy, Andrew McCabe, claims he never heard of any of this, but Comey shamelessly claims the whole thing is his actual victory.
Comey is his usual pious self. Then he got worse, telling a brazen little lie that was easily called out.

Fox denied the baloney of course because why would anyone cancel a 'get' as significant as Comey to discuss the release of the IG report which had a lot of harsh things to say about his leadership? They're in the news business. They live to get their 'gets.'

I saw that last interview with Bret Baier. IIRC he caught comey in several half truths and out and out falsehoods.

I flipped from FOX to CNN last night as Cuomo was going off and Lemon was coming on. Cuomo said they have VERIFICATION that Christopher Steele is a long time friend of Ivanka Trump. Anyone hear anything more about it? I didn’t stick around to hear anything else.
When Lemon came on, he was making fun of Doug Collins and I hope someone calls him a “racist” for that seeing that Collins is from the south with a distinct southern accent. He and Cuomo were having a big chuckle out of his imitation of him. They acted like a couple of teenagers. Lemon wasn’t even funny - it was disgusting!
Oh knock off saying the FBI was once a mighty law enforcement agency. It never was. It was always a camera hog organization that took credit for the hard work of State and Local police agencies. It’s first leader was a cross-dressing pervert and a pen pal of Heinrich Himmler. The SS was Hoover’s model. It always sends in agents provocateur to incite violent acts in political groups it deems dangerous to the Deep State. At any meeting of White Supremacy groups there are more undercover Federal Agents than Supremacist wackos. They have even tried to arrest each other. Lol.
The FBI IS the Deep State. It’s personnel laugh at their oath, a huge joke to them. They refuse to record interrogations.... proving they are corrupt liars. We’ve seen how Trump’s people and others have fallen victim to their process crimes.
The only solution is to disband it. It is vile and rotten to the core. Our nation has no need for it and its creation of crime to justify its hideous existence.
If Comey told half-truths, does this make him a half-wit?
If Comey wouldn’t talk to the IG because Comey intentionally refused to file to get his security clearance reissued and therefore didn’t have one any longer, WTH was that rumpswab going to talk to FNC about?
Everything he does is half-a*sed and his ideas are half-baked. I just hope that Barr doesn't halfheartedly prosecute him.
Like the old song says, “You’ve got to have heart”.
