Charging abuse of power here absent the bribery charge is like charging obstruction of justice absent an underlying offense.

Sound like they are going to argue Trumps intentions were bad when he asked about Bidens on the call with Ukraine. In short, he is being impeached for wrongthink.

Yep, without the bribery then there was no abuse of power, without an egg there will be no chicken. The real abuse of power was Nadler allowing the NY lawyer who was a witness to sit on the committee and interrogate Castor. Castor should have just refused to recognize that individual’s authority to even be sitting up there and answered nothing because he lacked the authority to even be asking any questions from that seat.
