Twitter locked the accounts of journalist Andy Ngo and documentary filmmaker and journalist Mike Cernovich after they shared links to the stated motivations of Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani, the Saudi Arabian national responsible for the Pensacola terror attack.
Alshamrani, a Saudi Arabian aviation student, killed three innocents when he opened fire at Naval Air Station Pensacola on Friday. Six other Saudi nationals, including three who allegedly filmed the attack, were arrested following the shooting.
The attacker posted his motivations on Twitter. As Breitbart News previously reported:
The SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors jihadist media, identified the gunman as Mohammed al-Shamrani, saying he had posted a short manifesto on Twitter that read: Im against evil, and America as a whole has turned into a nation of evil.
Earlier today the Saudi terrorist tweeted out his motivation for todays attack, said Cernovich. I posted a screen cap of the tweet, because this information is clearly newsworthy. Twitter forced me to delete the delete.

Journalist Andy Ngo, an increasingly frequent target of Twitter censorship, also had his account locked. Twitter recently locked Ngos account for posting statistics challenging a left-wing narrative about an alleged epidemic of murders against transgender people in the United States, forcing him to delete the factually accurate tweet before restoring his account.

This cannot be this hard.
I want to see billboards springing up touting true 1st Amendment platforms.
Some people who got banned from twitter went to Gab.com.
Mustn’t alarm the infidels......
When Twitter is owned and operated by foreign CEO’s, this is what you get.
But there’s nothing out there that comes close to the type of interfaces that Facebook and Twitter have. Many have tried, but I’ve canceled subscriptions to every one of them because the websites just “suck.”
Big Brother could not have dreamed of a better scheme with which to control people and the flow of information.
The government doesn’t need to worry about the First Amendment because private companies like Fakebook and Twitter are doing it for them and the Constitution does not prohibit them from doing it as private entities.
Well, if people continue to flock to twit/tweet, there will never be an alternative worth anything. Gab has been working on improving what they have/do.
Which do you prefer-sucky tech or sucky rules/censorship? Either way-embrace the suck.
The issue is not developing an alternative platform. They’ve been developed already. This issue is payment processors refuse to provide services to them, ultimately because Visa and Mastercard refuse to provide underwriting services if they don’t blacklist them.
Are there any articles written on this topic?
How do they get to keep making editorial decisions but still get treated legally like an open platform?
Juice on Capitol Hill.
There’s been articles I have to look to see what I’ve read on it.
The processors aren’t typically the ones instigating it, because even newer ones like Stripe which were viewed as alternatives to PayPal inevitably run into the same problem.
The issue is the major financial institutions on Wall Street, like Visa and MasterCard, tell the payment processor to cut off the service. Mastercard even narrowly defeated a motion to have the company set up a board set up to monitor this for “social justice”.
Believe it or not there’s even specific financial law aspects of the PATRIOT Act being used to deplatform people.
It would help if people who are not full blown communist would outright block those sites at wifi hubs.
Particularly in metal buildings full of machinery where 4G and 5G are not an option.
The truth cannot be allowed to be known.
Well to be perfectly honest, Free Republic pulled this blog post of mine as well.....
I was labeled a “dupe” for posting it.
