Law scholar Alan Dershowitz predicted the next Democrat elected president of the United States will be impeached as a result of the same "open-ended" criteria the party is currently using to impeach President Trump.
"They have created open-ended criteria which bear no relationship to the word of the Constitution itself," Dershowitz said Sunday on Fox News. "If President Trump is impeached, it will set a terrible precedent, which will weaponize impeachment, and the next Democrat who gets elected will be impeached."
How many foreign policy decisions have been made by presidents over the years in order to help them get reelected?" Dershowitz asked. "If we start making that an impeachable offense, there will be no presidents left."

This assumes there would be a GOP-led House, which I doubt would be the case if this country puts another DEM in the White House.

Dershowitz is insightful as usual — one of the last old-fashioned liberals. Even if I don’t agree with his answers, I must admit he raises some good questions.
In this case, I doubt the GOP would have the guts or gall to pull off such an impeachment.
Send in the Marines — only a Trump-led military counter-coup will save what’s left of our Republic.

Dershowitz sees the folly of the Nancy party.
I think it’s a weak argument for many reasons. If THIS impeachment is wrong, just denounce it as wrong. Don’t make it sound like this might become the norm.

Wait for the first mid terms after the Democrat is in office.
The demographics clock is ticking away, even without the amnesty that many GOP Senators are still working on.
True, he sees Nancy’s party — his party — for what it is, and the impeachment for what it is.
But Republicans generally DON’T do the nasty things that RATs do. If we were like that, Obama would’ve been impeached within the first year.

I think the Senate ought to go ahead and expel the democrats from the Senate.
If Republicans had simply stood for the Constitution Obama would have been disqualified.
He is not a natural born citizen.
But the GOP had ineligible candidates they wanted to run too.
They are not going to expel their friends.
If a Dem president were one of their current picks, save for Tulsi Gabbard, they have already committed impeachable offenses. Tulsi might be in there too and I just don’t know it.
