Republicans are dramatically outspending Democrats on impeachment-related ads on Facebook and television, illustrating how fully the GOP has embraced the issue as a political winner as public opinion remains split on the House effort to remove the president.

According to this article, the GOP is showing great unity on the issue and spending millions on it own and through PACs to fight for Our President Trump. Much better showing than I would have expected.

The Democrats have been urging party leaders for weeks to strike back with their own countermessage, to no avail.

That’s curious.

Why are the fanatics supporting this hoax hesitant to dump money into it? Don’t tell me it’s because they believe it is a losing issue. I don’t believe that. From what I see of them (and I watch CNN and MSNBC at least 10 minutes a day, as painful as they are, just to stay in touch), these people BELIEVE THEY ARE RIGHT. They STRONGLY believe they are right.

So what’s stopping them from spending ad money in support of their obviously strongly-held beliefs?

I can’t answer that.

That’s because we have never had a President with balls before.

This is an _excellent_ strategy, and the ads have been hard-hitting and on point.

Democratic congress-critters are particularly sensitive to public opinion in marginal districts, and these ads can stampede them in any directions the Republicans want.

Some tough town hall meetings could guarantee more defections from the impeachment witch-hunt.

It is my understanding that while polls show a fairly even split over impeachment among independents it is 33% in favor and about 67% against. Elections are decided by independents. This is a very smart strategy on the Republican side.

I think the Democrats are short on cash. Their mega donors don’t like Warren and Sanders and have said so.

I think the Democratic party leaders are still debating strategy.

The rule of opposites says believe exactly the opposite of what they say.

They say: “Impeachment is urgent”.
Therefore they mean: “There is no rush. We can drag this out indefinitely if we choose to do so.”

They say: “We have compelling evidence of impeachable offenses.”
They mean: “We have no evidence of anything. This is a political effort, similar to the Andrew Johnson impeachment which is _never_ to be discussed by _anyone_ _ever_.)

etc, etc

"Democratic congress-critters are particularly sensitive to public opinion"

Yes. The Democrats have no integrity or internal moral compass. Appearances are everything to them: their only means of hanging onto power, which is all they care about.

Kevin McCarthy confirms your suspicion....

Democrats devised their timeline for impeaching the president a long time ago, and they've just been filling it in as they go along. There's just one problem with their case.

They don’t have one. pic.twitter.com/WnoNsNFBqj— Kevin McCarthy (@GOPLeader) December 8, 2019

But do you debate strategy when you’re being savaged by ads?

I think carcraft might be right. They don’t have the money.

illustrating how fully the GOP has embraced the issue as a political winner as public opinion remains split on the House effort to remove the president.

On the one side are people who understand the law and value freedom and prosperity. On the other side are true believers who do not care about the law, civil rights, or anything except raw power--and they imagine that they will achieve unbridled power if the President is removed from office by any means necessary. While the true believers are dangerous, in that they will enable autocratic politicians to exercise unbridled power, they are not a majority and do not represent the views of most Americans. Thus, for the Democrats to run an advertising blitz that basically promotes removing the President from office for the crime of being a regular citizen who had the gall to get elected could backfire spectacularly. Much like the entire effort to frame the President is backfiring.

If true, this could be added to the articles of impeachment. If PDJT’s going to the courts do defend himself constitutes “obstruction of justice” or “obstruction of Congress”, then running ads defending Trump or mocking impeachment constitutes something far worse. This threatens our democracy!

Democrats don’t have to spend any of the money they don’t have.

They have the media running their 24/7 multi-billion dollar Destroy Trump in 2020 Campaign for free

And the taxpayers are footing the bill for the time they are wasting in Congress on this farce

I believe they feel their voter fraud next year will save the day - voter harvesting, same day registration, illegals voting, etc. It worked in 2018 in California and they are now trying it elsewhere including my state of New Mexico.
