Wealthy Chinese to buy their way into U.S. citizenship by lending money to the U.S. real estate industry...the bill allows wealthy Chinese to get into the United States after 'first buying Portuguese citizenship.'.....Wealthy Chinese can buy “golden visa” citizenship from Portugal’s government in as little as 35 days.... If House bill H.R. 565 is approved by the Senate and becomes law, then the new Chinese citizens of Portugal will be able to move into the U.S. by getting E-1 Treaty Trader or E-2 Treaty Investor renewable visas.
The bill does not yet have enough support to pass the Senate, but Graham may try to include it in the 2021 funding bills.

This actually started in the Obama years on the west coast.
From the state of Washington down to Baja, wealthy Chinese have been buying expensive property on the sly and more recently in the open. The Hong Kong issues are probably driving more of those in Hong Kong to America.
Now, often their main buyer competition are the elite liberals escaping the reality of NYC, Boston, DC and other major East Coast liberal cities re weather and taxes.

Let’s hope Pres. Trump puts the full package out there. This should be part of a Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement bill, missing since 1987 ONE TIME amnesty. The List of Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement, missing since 1987 goes like this -
1) southern barrier;
2) require eVerify to hire;
3) end all chain migration;
4) birthright per Minor v. Happersett (plural parents);
5) end work visas;
6) 10-year moratorium on all new applications for citizenship (40 years to allow workplace automation effects on downsizing population);
7) Set up an illegal aliens’ victim restitution fund.
Enactment of these provisions will motivate illegal aliens to SELF-deport, and remove colonizadors from our welfare rolls.

The only problem with this is that we will be importing our new overseers. With a few government subsidized foreign agents sprinkled in. Russia, China and Iran will be sending us their best.
As much as I like the basic idea, there needs to be a cultural assimilation test.
