MADRID (AP) — The European Union said Wednesday that it will likely miss its target for reducing greenhouse gases by 2030, dealing a blow to the bloc’s efforts to be a leader in the fight against climate change.

The report was released as officials from almost 200 countries meet in Madrid for U.N. climate talks. The EU’s new executive Commission is expected to present its long-term plan for tackling global warming - dubbed the European Green Deal - next week.

“Current EU leaders are the last generation that can prevent the climate breakdown,” said Wendel Trio, director of the campaign group Climate Action Network Europe.
Trio noted that the European Parliament recently declared a symbolic “climate emergency.”
“Citizens want them to act now, and not in 30 years,” he said.

By 2050 (30 years from now) most of Western and Central Europe will be under Islamic rule (just due to demographics, even if immigration were to stop), and I seriously doubt that the new leaders there will give a crap about playing along with this hoax.

I believe the US not being part of the pact, has accomplished more reduction with voluntary measures than these white wine socialists have achieved by fiat.
Or (as I long predicted along with predicting the Muslim invasion) Europe will have yet another bloody purge of non assimilated enclaves, break apart again into smaller countries all of which will be fiercely nationalistic.
Because this pattern has repeated cyclically for thousands of years.
If the world will end in 11 years, how can they act in 30 years?
I am not a scientist, but math was my major and 30 is way beyond 11.
