In a rush to judgement, flanked by US Flags and dressed in Red, White, and Blue, Nancy Pelosi ordered the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee to draft Articles of Impeachment against President Trump, after only one hearing of non-fact witnesses, claiming the facts were not in contest.
I think the Democrats have a surprise for the Senate (Bolton?..Rudys Ukraine buddy?) ...there is no way that they are this stupid to impeach on what they have so far
I actually heard the opposite from an analyst at a large Wall Street financial firm. The reason Pelosi is doing this is to keep Warren and Sanders in Washington early next year fir the senate trial. This will keep them from campaigning in the early states.
The dem leadership is concerned Trump will waltz with one of them as their candidate

Compromised Senators are in a much better position to cut a deal to avoid prosecution for their criminal behavior

I think that while the candidates are held up in the Senate trial, that Hillary will announce her campaign. They won’t be able to get out and campaign against her, so it gives her the opening she wants right before the voting begins.
They think 62 million Trump voters are just going to sit back, be quiet and let it happen? Well, they’d be 100% correct. They know they can do whatever they want, and Amerika ain’t going to do a damned thing about it.
They are in a race against the indictments to come...................

Perhaps this is the way it will play out. A Democrat Senator presents a resolution to the Senate to have the vote to convict and remove by secret ballot. McConnell allows the vote on a majority basis. All 47 Democrats/Independents vote in favor. Add Murkowski, Collins, Romney for the Republicans plus at least one or more of the retiring Republicans (Burr and Alexander for example) to get a majority for the rule. The trial in the Senate will now be decided by secret ballot.
The trial is held. McConnell rushes it and limits cross examination and number of witnesses, given the result has already been decided. The president’s defenders get little media play. The Senate holds a secret ballot and the president loses by more than a 2/3 vote. Coincidentally more than twenty GOP Senators suddenly see a significant infusion of cash into their campaign funds and several retiring GOP Senators receive lucrative K street lobbying jobs, corporate board memberships, or plush academic assignments with high paying outside consulting gigs.
Trump is convicted by the Senate, removed from office, and Pence becomes President. Conservatives in the GOP base are angry, but there is no uprising.
Pence is constantly under attack by the media and Congress. As a result he is completely ineffective and constantly portrayed as a do nothing president. He cannot get a VP replacement through Congress so Pelosi remains second in line for the office assuming he does not resign to allow her to become POTUS. Biden is the Democrat nominee with a radical (Warren perhaps) as the VP candidate.
Despite appeals from the GOP establishment to vote GOP to prevent a Democrat win, conservatives stay home on election day in droves. The GOP voting base has been burned too many times and will no longer respond to the election year “scare” rhetoric from a politicians they know will work against them once elected. Independents, tired of divided government and the incompetence of the GOP vote Democrat. Democrats capture the Senate by a wide margin and dramatically increase their House majority. With Murkowski, Collins, Romney and a few other “bipartisan” or compliant GOP Senators, the Democrats can override any veto in the Senate and defeat any filibuster.
Biden is elected president and with great delight and media fanfare turns the DOJ loose on Trump as his first act, playing to the leftist base. The state of New York and DOJ go on a feeding frenzy indicting Trump and his children for all sorts of “crimes”. Every liberal social justice group in the country, as well as a long string of women, former employees of his company, sue Trump. The former president is hounded for the rest of his life and his businesses are destroyed. Liberal groups organize boycotts of Trump properties Local governments use labor, licensing and regulatory rules to harass the properties. Foreign governments do the same. The Trump empire falls into bankruptcy. Trump is forced to sell personal assets to pay for his stratospheric legal fees.
The courts in which the former president is tried will be specially selected and presided over with with a far left presiding judge. Trump will be convicted minimally of “obstruction of justice”. Likely there will be “tax evasion” convictions on his businesses which will allow the IRS to seize assets. RICO conviction is also possible. They might even attempt to try and convict him for sedition or treason. Like Manafort, preceding trial and during the appeals process he will be held in prison as a flight risk.
A month after Biden becomes POTUS, he resigns for “health” reasons. The new President Warren appoints another far left progressive president and the replacement is approved by Congress. The far left agenda is then passed with lightning speed - punitive taxes, restrictions on free speech, amnesty, fast path to citizenship, reparations, student loan forgiveness, draconian gun control, and many new social programs. The wall is taken down and all of Trump’s trade work is scrapped. The Supreme Court is expanded and four new far left justices are added.
The dollar collapses and hyperinflation takes hold due to the explosion of the deficit to fund the new spending. The population becomes as people lose their jobs and homes. Even social welfare parasites take to the streets, as their benefits soon are eaten up by skyrocketing inflation. President Warren declares a state of emergency, backed by Congress and the enlarged Supreme Court. The Constitution is suspended and martial law is put in place. Hate speech is banned, but not clearly defined, and conservatives are rounded up for hate speech and other crimes. The secret FISA courts are expanded to process cases of sedition and opposition to the government. New laws permitting to the government to seize assets of citizens opposing the regime are passed. People begin disappearing, arrested in the middle of the night and hauled away.
Sporadic resistance develops involving gun violence. The Supreme Court redefines the Second Amendment to apply only to members of the National Guard and only when on duty. Surrender of personal firearms is ordered by the president. Days after the deadline is past the military and National Guard are employed to seize firearms from registered gun owners who do not turn in their weapons. Most people comply and the remaining “dissenters” are crushed by the military.
The Constitution is rewritten. No longer are natural rights recognized. Under the new Constitution, all “rights” are granted by the government and can be taken away by the government.

Yep, Warren and Sanders and Castro and Booker are about to be taken out of the game, leaving Biden who will be revealed as corrupt when the truth comes out in the Senate Trial, alas, Hillary rides in on her broom to save the Party. I'll bet Warren and Sanders will be blindsided, not seeing this coming from a mile away.
Since the “candidates” are all liberal democrats, what makes anyone think they would find it necessary to actually be present for any trial? They’d swoop in and vote at the end. Miss little or no campaigning.

The Senate Hearing will take Warren, Castro, Booker, Klobitchar, Sanders OUT of the game, no way to campaign. Leaving Biden, and the senate trial will expose his dirty dealings....leaving Hillary to fly in an save the day.

For one, the "secret ballot with 4 GOP votes" is not possible under the Constitution.
"Each House shall keep a Journal of its Proceedings, and from time to time publish the same, excepting such Parts as may in their Judgment require Secrecy; and the Yeas and Nays of the Members of either House on any question shall, at the Desire of one fifth of those Present, be entered on the Journal."
You apparently haven't even read the Constitution. I'll translate for you, 1/5 of the Senate can force a public vote. Period. So why play pretend and be so "concerned."
