DOJ watchdog finds FBI omitted details about Steele dossier in FISA renewal applications
Washington Examiner ^ | 12/04/19 | Daniel Chaitin, Jerry Dunleavy

The Justice Department watchdog found omissions in renewal applications the FBI submitted to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court seeking warrants to monitor onetime Trump campaign aide Carter Page.

A draft of Inspector General Michael Horowitz's report, due out next week, shows the FBI failed to convey to the court that not all of the information it used from British ex-spy Christopher Steele was entirely reliable, according to the Washington Post.

**SNIP**

FBI agents interviewed one of Steele's subsources and found that Steele's raw intelligence, in need of further verification, was not completely reliable. Horowitz's investigators found the FBI failed to convey this information in the later applications, but according to sources familiar with a draft of the report, the omissions were "apparently" not sufficient enough for the watchdog to conclude the applications should have been rejected.

Still, the Washington Post report states that it would be unusual for Horowitz to judge the FISA court's rulings on warrant applications. It also notes that it has not viewed the draft report, which may differ from the final version, due to be released on Dec. 9.

Exactly. The judges were part of the whole thing from the beginning.

If this did not fit the Horowitz pattern then I would say it was rubbish. It still could be considering that the WP is the biggest propaganda news source on the planet. They are far worse than the NYT’s or Even CNN. The fact that they even claim to have confidential information shows just how dirty they are. Even if Horowitz fails it does not indicate that Durham will.

“no evidence of spying” YET “both informants and electronic surveillance methods were used”.

This is how stupid they think we are. Two contradictory statements, which one is a lie. Find the pea under the shell.

"the FBI failed to convey to the court that not all of the information it used from British ex-spy Christopher Steele was entirely reliable"

The FBI failed to tell the court that Steele was a known and proven liar using dirt paid for by Hillary and manufactured on her behalf.

According to Hannity, FISA applications must be stamped “Verified.” If the FISA warrants were based on information from the Steele Dossier, they were not verified.

Deep Throat was sentenced to prison for spying on the weatherman Is the reason why that Commie rat bastard terrorist Bill Ayers is walking around free as a bird yet guilty as sin

The FBI can most certainly be sentenced to prison for spying in civil rights violations

“the FBI failed to convey to the court that not all of the information it used from British ex-spy Christopher Steele was entirely reliable”

One more case of hiding reality with fancy words. The document from Steele stated that the Russian activities were coordinated at the Russian Embassy in Miami … THERE IS NO RUSSIAN EMBASSY IN MIAMI.

So much for the capabilities of both the FBI and our Intelligence services.

What better way to look for leaks and leakers than to circulate a draft of a very important, classified document.

One that is reviewed by all the suspects under very tight controls.

But it’s really many, many different documents.

Each suspect has reviewed a different version.

It’s the oldest trick in the book, and it still works.
