BREAKING: Dems are encouraging GOP Never-Trumpers to exploit "loophole" in Senate impeachment clause whereby they wouldnt need 67 votes to remove but only 2/3 of "members present." If enough Never-Trumpers sit out trial, pretending to boycott it, they could remove Trump w/o actually voting.

Won't matter. Too many here believe there is nothing to worry about because they will do the "right" thing. If it goes to the Senate, Trump is done.

They’re loyal to McConnell. He’s on the ballot and even the retiring GOPers wouldn’t stab him in back like that. However, I have no doubt the useless GOP Senate will do the absolute minimum required in support of POTUS.

What the hell does a Republican senator gain if he refuses to show up for an impeachment vote? He's going to pay the same political price as he would if he simply voted to remove the President from office.
Reminds me of that dope on NBC during the 2000 election recount process who suggested that George W. Bush should concede to Al Gore "for the good of the country," regardless of how the recount turned out. It took about two seconds for the guy next to him to laugh in his face and point out (in so many words): "If he does that then Dick Cheney becomes the President of the United States, you jackass."
This is about as likely as removing Pence at the same time as Trump to install Pelosi as President. Ridiculous. But I agree that the Dem media is fantasizing about it for sure.
If the campaigning Dems MUST stop campaigning and be present in the Senate during the trial, how then can any Republicans be absent?
Ask the Dems how they plan to take Pence out.
They’ve already said they are gunning for him one way or another.

Wrong. The GOP Senate won’t remove POTUS. They want him gone but don’t want GOP fingerprints on it. So instead the hamstring (Mueller), obstruct (block his nominees), send garbage bills to his desk to sign, etc.
And too many here just make shit up based on their own emotional hysterics, without any basis in fact.
“This guy Sperry” was retweeted by Ratcliffe the other day. He seems to know what he is talking about.
