It’s the first decision that’s been made by any NY politician in a while that I can live with.

Although I’m hurt by the insinuation that because de blasio’s MOTHER is Italian and Cuomo is, that they would apply the hideously Italaphobic “offer they can’t refuse” label to this coercion.

Nah, I actually think it’s pretty cool :)

buona sera!!

If rent is paid for a full year , then they aren’t homeless any longer. Isn’t that better than them being on the streets? Or are these places crime infested section 8 places, where nobody really wants to live in the first place?

You like this idea? Good. Cause I just heard that 2,000 homeless are being bussed to Long Island as we speak.

(Or wherever in New York you live)

Interesting - I can’t imagine that NYC taxpayers are thrilled about the idea of shelling out $10,000-$20,000 per person to move them. But I can see the flip side, “eradicating homelessness” in New York... except it’s just by exporting them.

Can’t find them housing in New York state? Why do they want to expel them from the state?

Of course the other cities are going to resent it - or, they will after the first year. Who’s gonna pay for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th year. Cheaper for NY in the long run I’m sure. For Newark, more costly.
