Pushing back against impeachment continues to be a call to action for Republicans.

During an appearance on Huntsville, AL radio WVNN’s “The Jeff Poor Show” on Monday, Republican National Committee national spokeswoman Elizabeth Harrington explained how fundraising and activism for Republicans are on the upswing in the wake of the House Democrats’ impeachment push against President Donald Trump.

Lesson #1: Listen to your base and stop attacking them.
Lesson #2: Read Lesson #1.

Well then you should also know that it doesn’t have anything specifically to do with you or anything you are doing.

For the first time in my life I have a recurring monthly donation, directly to President Trump.
I haven’t given to the RNC since them gave us McCain as a nominee. I have never regretted that stance as I watched them push spineless git after spineless git.
I give to candidates, some of whom I have regretted after they were elected, like Mia Love. John James looks like he may win this time, proud to be a supporter. But the main thrust of my support is direct to DJT. MAGA 2020!

Pushing back against impeachment continues to be a call to action for Republicans.

A "Call to Action" has to begin to mean more than just give more cash. But the GOP won't ever figure that out.

Meanwhile, still no Trump stickers allowed on vehicles, no Trump signs in front yards, Trump hats not allowed in public, C-F-A can't give to the Salvation Army, out of control College Campuses shutting down free speech, the "Cancel Culture, no fur coats, careful with the SUV's and Trucks, political correctness including personal pronouns in the workplace and on social media, an overt lying media... But at least we raised more money. Oh, OK. I guess I should feel better.

Bottom line is that winning the fundraising game isn't getting it done in and of itself.

And the party rewards us by encouraging that back stabbing punk Kemp in Goeorgia to appoint another rat mole to the Senate.

I’m starting to think that if the Dems decide to punt next year the nominee will be Tom Steyer. At least he can self-fund. And unlike Bloomberg does not carry the baggage of being a former Republican.

Well Elizabeth maybe that’s because we have a real Republican leading instead of RINO losers like McCain, Romney, Paul Ryan,...

You might have felt encouraged had you read the article.

“It’s incredible,” she said. “We have an amazing grassroots army of volunteers, and that’s only skyrocketed since the impeachment charade. We have thousands sign up to get involved off the sidelines.

“We’re in states that haven’t been on the map for us in decades. It’s like President Trump transformed the map in 2016. We’re looking to do that again in states like Minnesota and New Mexico. You even had our campaign manager, the Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale up in Oregon two weeks ago because we’re looking for voters everywhere. We follow the data, which we’ve invested so much in over the past four or five years — over $300 million. And we follow the data to find voters where they are on issues they care about. We’re in a very good position, no matter who the Democrat nominee is. They’re not going to be able to compete in that regard.

The Reno TV market is getting bombarded with Steyer ads....as many as 20 in a day, as I switch from channel to channel.

I have a real problem with Steyer:

He claims that in the span of 26 years, he started an
‘investment’ company that grew to $37 Billion.

He complains vigorously in these ads about “CORPORATIONS”, making them sound like old time Mob members. He complains that they make “PROFITS” !!!!

EXACTLY WHAT did Steyer INVEST IN?

Every ‘investment’ company I have heard of steers their clients to invest in companies that actually MAKE PROFITS!!!

How hypocritical can Steyer be?

He also blames the banks for taking advantage of home buyers...

I seem to remember that Congress & an administration in the White House was demanding that banks give out SUB-PRIME LOANS because “Every Citizen deserved to own their home”.

Mortgages were given out to people who didn’t qualify to buy a T-shirt on time payments. But-—politicians set up that mortgage crash-—and NONE of them will even admit that was the cause....

Steyer is a hypocritical opportunist.

I wouldn’t vote for him any where at any time.

I am a voracious giver, at least relative to my long period of giving boycott pre-Trump. It gets very old to have all successes measured in donations. You can give to the GOP and the very next day receive an email or text that your name isn't on this or that list and that there is another "emergency deadline" that must be crashed through with money money money.

I'm thankful for the energy we have, but it isn't being successfully harvested except financially and that is the measure of success stated. Unfortunately, the relentless campaign for donations (at least towards me) is exhausting all by itself.

Depending on whether they are working on phone banks soliciting donations or not. :)

Yes, it is amazing. Yet, FR will have its fare share of professional whiners posting their usual pessimistic falderal. This happens despite the re-making of the Republican Party that is happening before their eyes. It is slow, often painful, but to change the course of history is like blazing a winding path through a treacherous swamp — it’s not easy to follow.

Yes, there is that. Somehow I had pictured them doing out reach about President Trump’s achievements and plans, engaging their neighbors, forming meeting groups. I’ll admit I have no clue what the volunteers are doing...

This is what I found on a deeper dig:

One indication of the difference came the night before President Trump's attention-grabbing rally in Orlando to kick of his re-election effort. Volunteers gathered at a Brazilian steakhouse in a nondescript strip mall a few miles away. In a banquet hall with sticky floors and ice-cold air conditioning, the volunteers responded to an hour-long PowerPoint presentation with enthusiastic hoots and hollers.

They were there to learn the process for registering voters and how to leverage their own social media accounts to spread the word about Trump's accomplishments.

"You guys are the key to victory on November 3rd, 2020. I mean that sincerely. I mean that with all of my heart," said campaign spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany, who was a surprise special guest at the training. "We at the campaign can only do so much. You hold the keys to victory."

Volunteers gathered in a banquet room at a Brazilian steakhouse the night before the rally for a training session organized by the Trump campaign and RNC. It was one of more than 1,000 such sessions nationwide last week. Tamara Keith/NPR

The training session in Orlando was one of more than a thousand similar sessions all over the country put on that week by the Republican National Committee and the Trump campaign.

Honestly, I won't think we are succeeding until you and I are sometimes volunteers in some kind of meaningful activism. I don't know, maybe yellow vests? A tractor ride? A sick day? Use the opposite gender bathrooms for one full day? We have to look at the alternatives of how to give our side a voice in addition to our votes and donations. Yes, raise money. Yes, register voters. Yes, take them to vote. But something more is called for and we haven't found the outlet to plug into yet IMO.

I do feel some better though with your thoughtful encouragement. :)

We all have to do our part.
I view my comments here, twitter, CTH, Breitbart, Powerline, Gateway Pundit, American Thinker as part of my outreach.
So much disinformation to counter with facts and truths. Many more people see the interchanges than those that actually answer.
You never know how many light bulbs get switched on and how many minds look things up because you have raised a doubt. I refuse to cede the public spaces to leftist liars, apologists & trolls.
Some minds are too invested in the party narrative but many can be turned by the “Chinese water torture” method of little drops of truth wearing down the narrative.
