Rather than respecting the will of the voters who elect a president, they proudly substitute their own policy preferences and think nothing of conspiring to drive from office the person who holds legitimate authority to make policy and conduct the affairs of government.

These men feel safe to speak treasonous words in public. They don’t fear any consequences. They should not feel safe.
Polygraph every government employee every four years. We need to be sure that government employees do not have a political bias.

Hopefully, the Supreme Court justices that respect the Constitution know they are next in line for Democratic treachery.
Most Democrats in Congress would stuff the Supreme Court FDR-style. Bernie Sanders would rotate out non-leftist judges.

I hate the RINOs just like you do, but they serve a purpose. They are the only reason Trump has a GOP Senate that give us Goresuch and Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court. If all the RINOs were actually registered Democrats, Pelosi would have a Rat controlled Senate to block everything Trump wants and to control ALL judicial nominees.
Now that would be REALLY dangerous. Nuclear dangerous. I hate the RINOs, but much better to have Democrats with an R than actual Democrats who would control the Senate.

No system is safe from being gamed. Some big city had a deal where the Dems ran schools, the Repubs ran the road crews, or some such split. No matter who won, the gravy train was undisturbed.

McLaughlin’s “Thank God for the Deep State” video quip has been out for weeks. It will likely be kept alive in campaign commercials as the next election gathers around a referendum on government lifers.
What’s news here is that Lifson, who is no amateur, is glomming together a consensus that we have an out of control federal bureaucracy who not only have enriched themselves over the past several decades even while the American Heartland was severely suffering, but this group of wrong-minded employees have adopted a specious view that they and they alone are the last line of defense against any threat to their retirements and perks even if the threat emanates from the American voters who are seen as smelly Walmart shoppers..
These Trojan Horse of the Beltway authoritarians only green light those they have spent decades building a compromise dossier on in order to control them.
We let the CIA spend the last 30 years as latch-key children with limitless power with nothing to do!?. They became political mercenaries and the enemy of the people and the constitution. It's the fault of Congress for not reshaping the agency, it's purpose, and funding.
This is why I say that this does not end except with significant bloodshed.
