Naturally, the reporter failed to penetrate this security and wrote what he the administration told him, before going off to Thanksgiving dinner. Maybe he should have called in to the office if he saw it on TV, but maybe he was busy doing something else.

Every rag has these stories written in advance. Some “editor” picked the wrong one to run. It wasn’t the writer’s fault — she wrote what she was told to write based on what the reasonably expected Trump to be doing.
It’s the “editor” who should be sacked.
Of course, given how shrunken Newsweek is, it isn’t unlikely she’s the reporter, writer, editor, gossip columnist, lovelorn columnist, business editor and web geek all rolled into one. They are so thin on staff, maybe she fired herself.
I must say Jessica Kwong is a cute little thing. With that out of the way, yes her story could not be more wrong, and on Thanks Giving day to top it.
Is she really so stupid as to think she could get by with such an outright lie? I bet she was set up and played. I bet she had some supposed inside source that fed her BS, and it was just so good she had to run with it without even checking it for accuracy.
Regardless whether it be a blunder or on purpose, she deserves to be fired.

I have never seen a legitimate news story that had the word “probably” in it. This is nothing but an opinion piece fancied up to look like real news. Most of our “news sources” do not write news, they publish opinion pieces.
