Kamala Harris Campaign Staff Admit: ‘We Still Do Not Have a Real Plan to Win’

Sen. Kamala Harris’ (D-CA) 2020 Democrat presidential primary campaign is flailing, according to her current and former aides.

A New York Times report reveals warring factions within Harris’ campaign against her Baltimore, Maryland and California-based staff, as well as financial woes that continue to get worse. As part of the Times‘ various interviews with current and former Harris staffers, the report details the recent resignation letter of the campaign’s operations director Kelly Mehlenbacher.

“This is my third presidential campaign and I have never seen an organization treat its staff so poorly…” Mehlenbacher wrote. “With less than 90 days until Iowa we still do not have a real plan to win.”

Mehlenbacher wrote that Harris’ campaign lacks “leaders who will lead,” calling the direction of the campaign with Harris’ sister, Maya, at the helm “unacceptable.” Mehlenbacher has since taken a top job for billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s newly-announced Democrat presidential bid.

Those sentiments are reflected in interviews, where one former Harris staffer told the Times that “You can’t run the country if you can’t run your campaign,” when speaking of the campaign’s disarray of messaging and leadership.

Maya and Kamala Harris: We may not have had a plan, and we treated everyone bad, but at least the two of us banked some pimp-tight money off of it.

Who in their right mind gives money to this loser’s campaign?

Whatever else, she deserves credit as being the first to land the first—and one of the hardest—hits on Biden when the campaign began.

We Still Do Not Have a Real Plan to Win

Step one - find a candidate who CAN win.

It’s not about the winning. Presidential campaigns are about making money. I’m sure the mission is going well.

Sometimes, people run for president to raise their national profile. Money is one part of it, but not the only one.

Some of these candidates are really running for vice-president, hoping to be chosen as the running mate by the nominee. Others hope to be chosen for cabinet positions in a new Democrat administration. Some will write their books, now that they are better known after running for president.

And some will land gigs on MSNBC as new analyst talking heads, since they now have the “gravitas” of having been a presidential candidate.

And some are looking beyond 2020, hoping to run in future years. A youngster such as Pete Buttgig(sp?) is young enough to be in politics another 30 years, and be a factor in presidential elections far into the future.

Phase 2 - quit now while there’s still campaign funds to be skimmed.

Yeah, but she didn’t have the chin. Gabbard landed a haymaker and Harris never recovered.

She should run for PM in India where one of her parents were citizens (the other parent from India). Neither country honors the Medieval birthright citizenship, so she was subject to her parents’ jurisdictions, and never declared U.S. citizenship formally.

Yeah, that'll be a big lift for the Bloomberg campaign.

Can’t lay on her back and gain any traction to move up this time.

Willie can only do so much for her.
