I read elsewhere that pedestrians attacked the bridge terrorist with broom handles and a fire extinguisher. Seeing that even pepper spray is forbidden in the UK, I guess that’s the best the good guys could do.

Actually, ordinary passers-by subdued the muzzie, and one very brave guy disarmed him of the huge knife. Police showed up several minutes later and shot the perp...twice!

Watched BBC coverage. At least one non-cop citizen relieved the perp of a very long knife. The terrorist was wrestled to the ground and then pulled up his jacket to reveal a (fake) explosive vest. Armed City of London (not Metropolitan) Police then shot him.
