“Many academics and journalists seem fixated on income inequality and the gap between billionaires and others. Ordinary Americans seem more concerned about fairness — they embrace equal treatment and reject racial quotas and preferences — and about showing equal respect to fellow citizens regardless of income or wealth.”
As long as those quotas exist, expect no racial/gender harmony - and certainly don’t expect those excluded to consider the “preferred” races and genders as equals. The very policies in question are a screaming government proclamation that they ARE NOT.
No, give thanks for America's FREEDOM, which eventually produces fairness.
"Fairness" that is forced and not a result of freedom from government interference is illusory.
"A society that puts fairness ahead of freedom will have neither. A society that put freedom ahead of fairness will have a great deal of both." --Milton Friedman.
Yup I give thanks for that increasing fairness, a fairness that treats Whites as less than those of ‘color’, that treats producers as less than takers, that treats our history evil, up until the woke 2000’s, that elevates a murderous religion even as it denounces and attempts to ban all others! Yes let’s hear it for America’s new fairness. But if I could have a choice would you mind if we went back to America’s old fairness of the fifties?
