“What do we do with this?” That’s what a dumbfounded Sen. Elizabeth Warren begged Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) during a speech at Clark Atlanta University in Georgia last week, as protesters interrupted with loud chants of “Our voice! Our choice!”

She was out of ideas.

The speech to the historically black university started out okay, with the presidential candidate giving a nod to Pressley who preceded her on the dais. “Ayanna is a fighter and she’s the kind of fighter I love, a sister warrior who knows how to win,” she proclaimed.

Then a shoutout to the crowd. “Can we just hear it for America’s HBCU’s!”

She has also stumbled her way through her defense of her financial plan for free universal health care, struggling with simple questions from relatively friendly reporters and eventually backtracking to indicate that she would not in fact, even try to pass her whole plan at once.

Democrats have to be thinking that next year, on a debate stage across from Donald Trump, Warren the nominee would not have tougher, savvier surrogates standing there to turn to for guidance when Trump challenges her.

Does Warren have a plan for that?

I think the DNC will do whatever it takes to drag Joe Biden across the finish line as the party's nominee. They're not thrilled with him, but feel he's their best chance to retake the White House. If that were to happen, they know Biden is in no shape to last a full term. The person to watch is whoever they put in as Biden's running mate. That person is their real nominee.

Warren, like every other Democrat candidate, is both ignorant and tone deaf as to the real concerns of minorities of all races. I guarantee that she had no idea how volatile the school choice issue is among minorities, but particularly black Americans, nor did she think there was any chance that she might be called out on the issue.
