On a slightly different note, I have wondered why the pubbies used Castor for questioning. So I went back and reread some (not all) of his queries. It reads totally differently now. He was brilliant. As far as Rudy.. I would take him at his word.
I saw what he was doing right away. You really need to stay on your toes when someone come on like a slow, gentle friend who is merely asking a few little questions. He was excellent!

Initially, I thought Castor was not being very effective, but he has a disarming interview style that gets people off guard. By the end of his time, he has established the facts and then nails them to the wall at the end.
His style kind of reminds me of the Arizona prosecutor who questioned Blaise-Ford. She treated Blaise-Ford with what seemed to be kid gloves, but she got Ford to admit everything she wanted in the end.
