Democrats on the Intelligence Committee have spent the vast majority of their impeachment hearings trying to persuade voters that bureaucrats believe Donald Trump is impulsive, self-serving, and misguided — all of which is unsurprising, and completely irrelevant to the matter at hand.
Quite often, in fact, the most breathless coverage of these tedious hearings has absolutely nothing to do with the allegedly impeachable offenses of quid pro quo or “bribery” — or whatever focus group-tested terminology Democrats are deploying today. Take the newest blockbuster witness, Fiona Hill, a Russia expert whose testimony nearly every outlet promised would be “explosive.” She “lashes Rs for siding w Russian theory instead of us on 2016,” Politico’s Jake Sherman informs us.

I would suggest that these journalists are merely preparing the public for the eventual outcome....66 votes don’t exist in the Senate to convict Trump....so the impeachment (after two weeks of a pony-show), will put everything to a vote, with Romney voting with the Democrats, and no impeachment occurring.
All of those Hillary-enthusiasts who figured they’d finally get some ‘closure’....will simply get round II of 9 Nov 2016...another defeat that they were talked into believing. I will suggest over the next ten days...several more news organizations will begin to pull the curtain and admit that impeachment will never occur.
One could call earmarks “extortion”, couldn’t one? Congressman demands and gets him some PORK for his district as quid pro quo for voting for legislation...because he aims to gain politically by bringing home the bacon. or how about putting sweeteners into a bill to get Congress to vote for it.....clearly a corrupt BRIBE aimed at political gain
They have been extremely useful for uncovering where the extortion bodies were buried and exposing those who were robbing the Ukraine blind.
The hearings aren’t useless. None of this is useless if you’re a Democrat. They are running out the clock. Even if DJT gets reelected they will keep distracting him and the country until they can regain power. That has been the strategy from day 1 and it’s working.

Someone realizes that this charade is destructive — to the Democrats — and they want it stopped. Its patently clear that Schiff is inept and dishonest and this whole show is a baseless and disgraceful attempt to railroad Trump out of office. And the American people know it.
When the FISA report is released the public blowback will only increase.

They have also been useful for shining a glaring light into the dark swamp. And at all the creatures on land, as in the dems. We all knew it was bad. I had no idea it was THIS bad. Almost irreparably damaged. I think a lot of fence sitters have been scared straight. About what IS COMING IF TRUMP loses. What was once just a parlor game is deadly serious now.

Ahh, FAR from useless.
The exercise has shown America just how desperate the Dump-a-Craps are when they can not control events -— especially events they want to keep hidden.
I have noted before that ‘impeachment’ was their suicide vest, and they would pull the string when they had no other hope.
Remember: Three fact witnesses have not yet testified: Bolton, Pompeo and Mulvaney.
I hope we don’t allow this to go to the Senate.
I’ve refused to learn any details of this impeachment theatre. It upsets me too much. But today someone at work was reading an earlier NY Times article, something about a shadow government and Ukraine, and tried to get me to read it. I cut short the conversation (he’s a Democrat).
So, my request, if anyone cares to respond: please give me a very short, very clear, completely true summary of this current hearing against President Trump...something like “Impeachment for Dummies” in 5 quick facts.
And again I stress, the truth only! Not just something encouraging that a conservative like me who totally supports President Trump would wish to hear. I will need a true, factual answer if I discuss it with this guy. He has his NY Times article and listens daily to the TV hearings.
