You don’t need to call him. You need to call the two staffers who used to work WITH him at the CIA. These are the two that were in contact with him prior to the whistle blower report being filed.

They can testify to the extent that they coached him (whistle blower) without naming him. They can be asked if the whistle blower ever had a face-to-face with Schiff; if Schiff recommended the attorney for the whistle blower, or if Schiff or his office assisted in the drafting of the whistle blower complaint.

An added benefit to this is they can also ask if the whistle blower revealed his source of information (Vindeman). This would make Vindeman the leaker and subject to the espionage act.
