What you're really saying is not that you can't but you won't eliminate all liberals from you life.
I don't even speak to my older sister anymore. She's a big liberal and thinks Hillary should have been president. She still thinks Trump won because he colluded with the Russians. She's not an intellectual giant. She didn't even finish high school.
Sister or not, I won't waste what little time I have left in this world (I'm 72 and she is 74) trying to talk sense into her. She's just like all of the rest of the liberals. Not my responsibility to teach her the ways of the real world. She's old enough to know better without my help. She'll never change. Too old.
I don't see myself as an activist trying to win the other side over. I've had enough of their BS.
You’re right. I won’t eliminate my siblings from associating with me. And, I know that I cannot change their minds. So far, we just don’t talk politics when we are together. But when I get bits of wisdom that I think might get through to them, I share it. It only makes my older sister “sad”.....but so far I have kept sharing them.
I appreciate where you are coming from though. I may yet reach that same point.
It seems like “Agreeing to Disagree” has become a thing of the past.
Well in essence that’s exactly what my sister said after I tried again to persuade her about an important issue with which we disagree.
She said we would have to agree to disagree....so that’s where we are.
This explains why Tom Steyer is the greatest threat to Trump's re-election!!! /s
If that assh*le Tom Steyer will give up ALL his money in the name of ‘climate change’ then I’ll believe him.
Until then his big claim to fame is he’s willing to GIVE UP OUR MONEY, our country’s money - in the name of his personal stupid obsession... Eff the bastard...
