House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and the committee's ranking member Rep. Devin Nunes. R-Calif., clashed during Tuesday's impeachment inquiry hearing after Schiff suggested Nunes' questions could lead to the outing of the anonymous whistleblower who filed the complaint about President Trump.
Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, an Army officer at the National Security Council, told Nunes that he spoke with two people outside the White House about Trump's July 25 call with Ukrainian President Voldomyr Zelensky in the immediate wake of the interaction, including State Department official George Kent and one member of the "intelligence community."
Nunes then pressed Vindman about which agency the intelligence community member hailed from.
Schiff jumped in to interrupt the exchange, apparently worried the exchange could name the whistleblower -- though Vindman later insisted he doesn't know who the whistleblower is.

O what a complicated web Schiffty weaves. He is starting to tie himself in knots.
I have never in my entire life seen a more disgusting organism than that creep.
What an absolute piece of GDFS.
Sounds like a quid pro quo bribe...
Ukraine can have that fat pasty sissy...they’re welcome to him!
Exactly.
I call shenanigans.
Hey, Shifty, his name is Eric Ciaramella.
Schiff and Vindman claim not to know the identity of the whistleblower.
That is because the know the man, and that he was working under a CIA cover. Do they dont know his true identity. They are being very specific and legal in their claim.
This also proves that Eric Ciaramella was on a CIA mission - and Schiff and Vindman are read in.
Time to arrest them!
Shifty Schiff effectively admitted to knowing the identity of the “whistleblower” by stopping the witness at that point. How else would know to not let the witness answer? It was the best part of today’s hearing.
Schiff, and the whole congress, and the whole media, and the whole country, are playing a...
Pretend Game.
The game is pretending that nobody knows who the whistleblower is, and the first to blow the whistle on who the whistleblower is, gets a strongly worded letter from Schiff and Nancy Peloser.
But, I’ll play along and pretend I don’t know the whistleblower’s name, and pretend that the name I’m about to disclose is not the ID everybody is pretending not to know....
Everybody here at FR knows who it is, but, for those new here, it’s Eric Ciaramella.
They don’t know who it is, just ask them.
Special place for them soon.
Watch the entire video. More good stuff at the end.
This is preposterous. What a hoax. Both Vidman and Schiff say they don’t know who the whistleblower is. When asked who Vidman spoke to about the transcript he will only give one of two names. When asked to name the other person he refuses, and Schiff says the question is out of line because it will expose the whistleblower.
But if neither Schiff or Vidman know who the whistleblower is, how could naming the people Vidman spoke to expose the whistleblower?
It is obvious they are liars. They both know the name of the whistleblower. There is zero reason to name one person but not the other person Vidman spoke to unless they know that the other person is the whistleblower. Ergo, they are lying. Such a scam.
As Mark Levin has noted, the “whistleblower” is not a whistleblower under federal statute and has no expectation of privacy. The whistleblower statute also does not apply to the President. Stop the BS.
But he probably knows his shirt size and favorite rose’ and Ben and Jerry combo.
