"I don't want to be a flat Earther," David Weiss says, his voice weary as he reflects on his personal awakening. "Would you wake up in the morning and want everyone to think you're an idiot?" But Weiss is a flat Earther. Ever since he tried and failed to find proof of the Earth's curve four years ago, he's believed with an evident passion that our planet is both flat and stationary -- and it's turned his world upside down. "I absolutely freaked out," Weiss tells CNN in a phone interview. "It literally whips the rug out from underneath you." Now, Weiss finds it tedious to associate with the majority of people -- though he "unfortunately" still has some friends who believe in a round Earth. "I have no problem with anybody that wants to believe we live on a ball. That's their choice," he says. "It's just not something I resonate with."
Weiss' preferred community is those who share his life-altering belief. And that community is vast. This week, the businessman attended the third annual Flat Earth International Conference, held at an Embassy Suites hotel in suburban Dallas, Texas. Organizers told CNN that about 600 others went too.

If you can convince people that something demonstrably false is true, you can convince them of anything. It’s not just flat earth, it’s socialism, DDT, global warming, abortion as healthcare, white privilege, and more. We are assaulted on a daily basis with this kind of crap.

When I was stationed in Australia, I called my family in the middle of the day locally, and it was in the middle of the night there. I confirmed a very hot sun high in the sky, while they could see the big dipper and North star.
Also, I could not see the North Star from Australia—ever, but could see constellations and stars not visible form the Northern HemisSPHERE.
How do the flat earth believers explain THAT?

th eflatearth nonsense is a Cabal trial run to see how many people can be effectively manipulated to believe a mass lie.
Its an index they use to determine how dislocated from reality are people the current education system has created. They need to know this to figure out how much and what kind of BS they can get away with, and what kind of other work needs to be performed to manipulate the population to that point

All I needed to know that the earth is round, I learned as a USMC infantryman.
In the Philippine Islands. We marched 20 miles to a mountain we called the 7 Steps to Heaven. Couldn’t see it when we started because the curve of the earth hid it.
But as the miles got ate up by the march, the top of the damn mnt would come into view, then more and more of it as we got closer and closer.
Then it was all you could see.
Then we went up it.
Next day, went down it and marched the 20 miles back to base.
