Sure, and then the lawless butt-pirates in Sacramento will prohibit licensing of such vehicles.

Perhaps they will learn, but it's more likely they'll whine and hold their breath until they turn blue trying to get a do-over, because it's "not fair!"

That's crazy talk. Next you'll say, 'take away their expense accounts'. :^)

I recommend the state vehicle for California be the Trabant 601.

Maybe they can have a political change operation paid for by the government.

Guess they won’t be buying “parts” for the cars and trucks they already have. Another waste of the remaining taxpayers’ money.

Communism is alive and well in California, from top to bottom. Time for old Andreas Fault to do her thang.

They already have had that. One wedge is the Asian community, since there is nonstop (and illegal) attempts to ignore Prop 209.

It’s too bad Edgar Cayce was just a quack.

Starting in January, the state will only buy from automakers that recognize California's legal authority to set emissions standards.

I think the relevant phrase is "believe in", not "recognize". I've always wondered why they got away with that. Normally a supporter of state's rights, this to me is an exception, because the cat makers won't tell Kali to pound sand, and they won't make two versions, therefore legislators I can't punish and throw out of office are de facto deciding what I'm allowed to buy and I'm not even in their jurisdiction!
