So you operate under the theory that you have no obligation to refrain from hurting your wife? Just toss it out there in the public domain that you lust after women other than your wife? Who cares if that really hurts a woman you’ve been with for decades? Hey, “You’re the man!”

May not have been the brightest bulb? Yeah, maybe not. How about, “I do not think that is a dignified question.” Next. If you wish the interview to be over now, we can stop.

No, I’m not saying I want to see the man dead. His time will come.

I’m just not going to watch people be an apologist for the second worst president we’ve ever had, and without a doubt the worst former president we’ve ever had so far.

As for how I do in the end, I’m open to the same criticism as anyone else. I won’t be selling my nation out to prove what a caring man I am.

SEE: Iran. He and Zbigniew Brezinzki (Mika’s daddy) the fake anti-Soviet— enabled the ouster of the Shah, and the takeover of Ayatollah Khomeini and the slaughter of Iranian Westernizing student protests. In favour of the Islamofascist regime that exist to this day. From which, obamaumao and the other idiot democrats have enabled... nuclear weapons. Oh yes.. Carter has MUCH to have something against.

SEE: Boycott of Russian Summer Olympics— because the Soviets invaded afghanistan (and Carter’s seee eyyye AAAAA, created and nurtured his Saudi royal family’s friendly-— Osama Bin Ladin.

See: The Carter Center. A Saudi financial support to this day of the Carter Center). The classic muslim loving, Israel hating, anti-Jew, fake Southern Baptist and fake nuclear engineer (from having attended USNaval Academy and served on a sub for his only active billet in a very short naval career.

See: Carter’s constant harping on Palestine and Palestinians— who never had a country nor should have. His constant support of Hamas and Hezbollah. See: His love of Fidel Castro and virtually every single dictator (Trujillo, Morales, Allende, Daniel Ortega/Sandinistas-Nicaragua and many others) he ever met, and supported their crooked and corrupt totalitarian regimes. Yeah, he’s mr. human rights.

Bad president, bad ex president who could not keep his nose out of things. Hope he recovers, though.

My first presidential election was in 1980. I couldn't pull the trigger for Reagan because of what I heard from my family (staunch union DEMs - they would be ultra-conservative DEMs today). At the same time, we were inundated with college students from Iran telling us how awful our country was. That, along with several other issues, led me to not vote for Carter either. Yes, I was one of those crazy college kids who voted for Anderson (not that it would have mattered in California).

I voted for Reagan in 1984, and have voted GOP ever since (holding my nose for Dole, McCain, and Romney).

I’m not very fond of Jimma. My husband and I built up a business in & around Memphis. Three record shops & a wholesale distribution shop. Then Jimma happened all the way of to 20% interests. Money got tight, we closed one shop. Money got tighter, we closed a second shop. Money got tighter, we closed the third shop. Well, maybe we might have held on to the distributing co. but the banks would only load on 30 days. We were carrying customers 60 days. There went the dreams. Sold the last piece for $1 to our outside salesman and called it experience, and moved on to riches more valuable. I think that was when I became a Republican.

Seems like a decent man. But, boy, he was a shit-show of a president.

Do you remember the misery index (inflation + unemployment)? It reached 21.98% in June 1980, the 4th year of Carter's presidency. By December 1986, Reagan's policies had spurred the economy so much that it came down to 7.7%

I think you aren’t giving Rosalynn much credit here.

Women who know exactly who and what they *are* - and where they stand - don’t need the kind of ‘protection’ that you assume that we do. We know that we have that devotion and protection from our men - we know it from our private moments with them. We don’t need them to prove it in public.

I remember once when I walked out of a supermarket, and a man was walking in front of me with his very pregnant wife. The man turned around and stared at me, his wife walking ahead. The wife turned around and winked at me.

Women understand a lot more about men than men do about women.

(But thanks for your chivalry :-)

Yes, Carter was an economic nightmare. It took Reagan a LONG time to correct the economy. I remember our first mortgage was at 14.25%, floating interest rate because you couldn’t get a fixed interest mortgage at that point because inflation was so bad.

He was a lousy president. When he took office he didn't know what he wanted to do or how to get anything done. Today's candidates know what they want - they are more ideologically driven - and that's not always an improvement.

And look at it this way: a Democrat was going to get elected in 1976. Since that was going to happen anyway, wasn't it better that the one elected was a Southerner, a veteran, a family man, sort of a farmer, a believing Christian, and incompetent, considering what the alternative would have been?

The Playboy interview was embarrassing, but I'm not going to get after him for that. He was only admitting to being human, and nobody says he ever acted on his feelings or impulses.

No. Carter was worse. Clearly you forgot gas lines and energy policy a sweater. However, I wish I’m well today.
