It’s now official. Former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Alabama, a seat he once occupied prior to going to serve in President Donald Trump’s administration in 2017.
Earlier in the evening, Sessions’ campaign website went live, and he published his first campaign video, which was featured in his announcement on Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
During that appearance, Sessions addressed his desire to run and his falling out with Trump. Sessions told Carlson that he hoped to have an opportunity to discuss his campaign with Trump.

Sessions bailed on President Trump. And, didn’t even give him the courtesy of advance warning. He accepted the position of AG then bailed. So many press conferences where he stood BEHIND Rosenstein like Rosentein’s BITCH.

The current slate of candidates is a freaking clown car. The leaders in the polls right now is Ears Tuberville who comes off as a complete moron when taken off his talking points. Then there is Bradley Byrne who is a flipping weather vane and has no statewide name recognition. And the nut job Roy Moore. Plus the Sec of Stste who has no name recognitiin or money.
I have my doubts that any of the current crop could beat Jones, which is the goal.
And you want to send another Romney to destroy Trump.
Trump wanted an AG to act like his personal attorney. He knew Sessions’ intentnregarding recusal and could have pulled the nomination. He didn’t.

Sessions stopped Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Loretta Lynch and the rest from being Investigated by creating a phony Investigation by Obama Appointee, John Huber (Utah).
Barr eventually relieved Huber of his duties.
