It’s now official. Former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Alabama, a seat he once occupied prior to going to serve in President Donald Trump’s administration in 2017.
Earlier in the evening, Sessions’ campaign website went live, and he published his first campaign video, which was featured in his announcement on Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
During that appearance, Sessions addressed his desire to run and his falling out with Trump. Sessions told Carlson that he hoped to have an opportunity to discuss his campaign with Trump.

Go research the “brietbart embassy” and Bannon and Sessions, and you will find out a lot more that you are clearly wholesale ignorant of.
If you think Sessions is a net negative in the Senate for Trump, you should really sue the schools you attended for educational malpractice.

Sessions isn’t naive. From his interview on Tucker last night it’s clear he just doesn’t care. He was quite dismissive of the Russia Hoax.
When it comes to endorsements, I wouldn’t blame the President for recusing himself on this one.
I was at that rally just to his left off cam. Was excited when he endorsed. Now? Wouldn’t elect him for local dog catcher. He turned out to be an utter “balagan”.
Will reserve judgment. He supports the agenda and I don’t think he’s lying about that. He was a very poor fit for AG in this day and age. Not enough of a fighter. A month of Romney bashing would be a good start

Nobody pushed themselves more for the Attorney General job than Sessions. He was all over Trump from the jump! He BEGGED Trump for the job.
He gets it. First important thing he does is go after Marijuana. The second thing he does is RECUSE HIMSELF!

Intentionally, in my view...in order to push blame for the Mueller investigation back on Trump.

Very interested in what President Trump has to say on the subject.
Always felt it was likely Sessions was an active participant in a sting operation against the coup plotters but ruled that out after the way Trump fired him.

That seems like a distinct possibility and is what I’m inclined to believe but I’m wary. I was a big fan of Jeff Sessions the senator but he really blew it as AG.
l’d like to see Sessions clear the air and explain himself — explain his recusal screwup and his disastrous showing as AG. Explain why it makes sense to give him a powerful position again after getting canned by Trump.
I’d also like to see some kind of signal from Trump on Sessions. There’s a lot of backstory we’re not privy to but Trump knows if Sessions is legit.
Might as well send Flimsey Grahamnmesty money, too, so he can give away our country with amnesty for illegal aliens as soon as he’s re-elected.
GOP voters are no smarter than Dem voters sometimes.
Sessions did not stop the 2013 amnesty, it passed the Senate with votes for by Micro Rubio, Flimsey Grahamnesty, Hoeven, Murkowsky, Coker, Hatch, McCain and Flake.
We voters of VA-7 stopped the amnesty by Cantorizing the weasel Eric Cantor in the primary.
