The anonymous author of an upcoming anti-Trump book reportedly cites anonymous sources to declare that Vice President Mike Pence would support the 25th Amendment to have President Trump removed from office – but Pence’s office quickly shot down the thinly sourced claim.
HuffPost reporter Yashar Ali obtained an excerpt of "A Warning,” which is written by the unnamed senior Trump administration official who penned a scathing attack on the president in an anonymous New York Times op-ed last year.
Ali reported that the anonymous author “did a back-of-the-envelope tally of which Cabinet members would be prepared to sign a letter invoking Section 4 of the 25th Amendment to the Constitution” and “there was no doubt in the minds of these senior officials” that Pence would be on board.

My own anonymous sources told me anonymously that the anonymous author of that anonymous book is a pervert. And if this is wasn’t worthy of the news, I have some tales from reliable sources about “those Hollywood parties”.

OK, sure.
It only proves how incompetent the coup plotters actually are. Trying to use the 25th amendment to remove a President who isn’t incapacitated is actually more difficult than just impeaching him. If you don’t have the votes for impeachment, then you certainly will never get the votes needed to use the 25th.
In fact, the President can short circuit a 25th amendment coup without even letting it get to a vote. He’s re-instated instantly as soon as he sends a letter to Congress, and he can then instantly fire all the cabinet members who were part of the coup so they can’t assert he is unable to serve again. Game over.
