A lot of them are wannabe revolutionaries like their hero Che and wish play life in real world drama like the movie Reds. They fantasize about being a heroic Warren Beatty simultaneously pursuing world socialism and Dianne Keaton in a romantic drama set against the backdrop of desperate revolutionary times. Or maybe a protagonist in John le Carre spy novel
If you want to document this coup, you will probably find tons of witnesses in some pick up bar ( probably a gay bar, not that there is anything wrong with that) that this Zaid guy bragged about all the heroic, dangerous and brilliant subversive things he was doing to save the world from The Orange Guy.
This grandiose, narcissistic self view is on display and comes across in the texts and emails of Strozk, Rosenstein, Page and in the reported behavior of Ciaramella the other whistleblower as well as Obama players like Ben Rhodes. Amazingly, Adam Schiff is star struck Hollywood wannabe screen writer ( lives in West Hollywood) when he isn’t making up stories about President Trump.
These are not real people living in the real world.
In their minds, we are all just bit players in the big budget, silver screen production of the story of their lives.
Getting the feeling our bit part is akin to being a new, unknown extra playin a character in a Star Trek away team beamed down on a dangerous away mission.
