The senior ministers of the Israeli government met twice last week to discuss the possibility of open war with Iran. They were mindful of the Iranian plan for a drone attack from Syria in August, aborted at the last minute by an Israeli air strike, as well as Iran’s need to deflect attention from the mass protests against Hezbollah’s rule in Lebanon. The ministers also reviewed the recent attack by Iranian drones and cruise missiles on two Saudi oil installations, reportedly concluding that a similar assault could be mounted against Israel from Iraq.
The Israel Defense Forces, meanwhile, announced the adoption of an emergency plan, code-named Momentum, to significantly expand Israel’s missile defense capacity, its ability to gather intelligence on embedded enemy targets, and its soldiers’ preparation for urban warfare. Israeli troops, especially in the north, have been placed on war footing. Israel is girding for the worst and acting on the assumption that fighting could break out at any time.
And it’s not hard to imagine how it might arrive. The conflagration, like so many in the Middle East, could be ignited by a single spark. Israeli fighter jets have already conducted hundreds of bombing raids against Iranian targets in Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq. Preferring to deter rather than embarrass Tehran, Israel rarely comments on such actions. But perhaps Israel miscalculates, hitting a particularly sensitive target; or perhaps politicians cannot resist taking credit. The result could be a counterstrike by Iran, using cruise missiles that penetrate Israel’s air defenses and smash into targets like the Kiryah, Tel Aviv’s equivalent of the Pentagon. Israel would retaliate massively against Hezbollah’s headquarters in Beirut as well as dozens of its emplacements along the Lebanese border. And then, after a day of large-scale exchanges, the real war would begin.

Have you been paying attention to Amir’s Middle East updates? He explains a lot of things, that we don’t even consider.
It’s a pretty big assumption that Israel will start the fight against Iran. Turkey and Saudi Arabia don’t like them much and are much less restrained. Israel will be drawn in because of all the Iranian proxies in the area, but unless Iran goes nuke, I don’t see Israel straying much from their own borderlands.
I believe a second Iranian revolution is more likely than a general Middle East war.
Right. More likely the USA would do so, than Israel. If USA military assets are hit by Iran, I think President Trump would heavily hit Iran. If Israel assets are hit by Iran, Israel won't start a war without an okay from the USA. President Trump held back when a drone was hit, but if people are victims of Iran (Israeli or American) then I think President Trump would give Israel the go-ahead to hit Iran hard.
Build a safe zone for christians. Call it Lebanon.
Said this for years: the Iranian revolution will start when we pop EMP’s over Teheran; the mullahs’ command and control will be decapitated and their ability to put down popular revolt will cease to exist.

We do not need to. Israel has a very robust military both conventional and nuclear. If the State of Israel were ever threatened with extinction, they will cut off the head of the beast with nuclear weapons. Tehran would be a smoking ruin of sadly much death. It would be millions. I hope this day never comes but fear it will. Tehran is led by insane fanatics. I lived in Tehran during the time of the Shah. The vast majority of those people are good people that now suffer under the yoke of the fanatic Mullahs. They would die also, in a nuclear strike.

Michael Oren is wrong. Some anti-Christian freaks are always cowering like little kids in the face of a potential “conflagration.” Jeepers, who uses the term “conflagration” anymore? Just little cowards. Problem: Middle East rivalries. Solution: Grace.
I thought they may have, in conjunction with South Africa some decades ago. There was a nuclear blast at a South African test site, caught by our spy satellites. At the time, Israel and South Africa were teaming up in developing nuclear weapons. Of course, neither admits it. South Africa gave up their weapons development, perhaps it was all moved to Israel.

A lot of Messianic Jewish writers have stated lately that this entire Israeli Political fallout could actually mark the end of a conservative led Israel and bring in a more left-leaning leadership that is eager for peace at any price with “anybody”.
Hence, why prophetically speaking, Israel will not even act in a military manner when Magog-Gog comes raining down on from the mountains.
Some analysts are going as far to say that Turkey & Iran may even start to fight each other for supremacy over northern Syria.
Iraqis have attacked & burned down several IRGC facilities over the past few weeks. Iran has been backpeddling some lately.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has been at war with Israel since its founding.
