When it came to Hasan, Manning said, there was a double standard. Hasan wrote emails to radical American cleric Anwar al-Awlaki seeking advice on reconciling his Muslim faith with serving in the Army. This fact was known to the FBI.

“You could lose your security clearance in the Army for having bad credit and be kicked out of the Army. But you can't lose your security clearance for talking to a member of Al Qaeda, through e-mail. I mean, it doesn't make any sense,"

Manning lamented that it took five years for the government to acknowledge that Hasan's attack was terrorism. It took six years for the survivors of the attack to be awarded Purple Hearts for their heroic actions to subdue the shooter and for the government to agree to provide benefits that are typically extended to victims of combat.

Have we learned nothing from the 2009 Fort Hood shooting where Muslim Nidal Hasan shot 43 , killing 13.. following Obama's apology tour of the Middle East which Hussein blamed America for everything. Obama would not call the planned Jihad an act of terrorism nor Hasan a terrorist.. More work place violence.

Navy Yard Shooting was another Clinton Gun-Free Zone fail...

Hasan was perhaps a double agent, with the US attempting to use him. He attended a speech at which the Israeli ambassador spoke, and tried to get near to him after the speech as he was leaving. Eventually he (imho) may have shown his true colors, but the US doesn’t want to admit involvement with him.

Pure speculation, but not imho far off.

Another field grade officer who loathes the US. Hassan spouted Nazi=muzzard rhetoric regularly. Violated doctor-patient privacy without compunction and was just ignored and shuffled around. LTC Vindman was unembarrassed about being openly contemptuous of the US and enjoyed spewing anti-US hatred to members of other militaries. There is truly something deeply wrong when the official guardians hate the nation and people they are there to guard.

Was a Red Cross volunteer at Walter Reed during Desert Storm in “the Snake Pit”, the amputation ward. (My respect for our military and their families is through the roof!! Still volunteer there. Only good part of living in the DC suburbs.)

There were two kind of generals. The ones who walked on the floor with a “look at me!” attitudes, The others just went straight to the patients and their families. Petraeus was part of group 2. Soldiers loved him.

Also worked with Hassan. He always stuck me as creepy. He never looked at me when he talked to me. He never seemed to really care about his patients who just lost a limb for us!! (I’m in the medical field.)

Why he still walks the earth is beyond me.
