For a town that leaks like a sieve, Washington has done an astonishingly effective job keeping from the American public the name of the anonymous “whistleblower" who triggered impeachment proceedings against President Trump — even though his identity is an open secret inside the Beltway.
More than two months after the official filed his complaint, pretty much all that’s known publicly about him is that he is a CIA analyst who at one point was detailed to the White House and is now back working at the CIA.
But the name of a government official fitting that description — Eric Ciaramella — has been raised privately in impeachment depositions, according to officials with direct knowledge of the proceedings, as well as in at least one open hearing held by a House committee not involved in the impeachment inquiry. Fearing their anonymous witness could be exposed, Democrats this week blocked Republicans from asking more questions about him and intend to redact his name from all deposition transcripts.

Why? If he’s their witness in chief, why wouldn’t Democrats want him from and center?
After all, they’re seeking to impeach the POTUS.

I read last night the whistleblower lawyer has threatened the media if they release him name.
I see numerous places where op eds say his name was revealed in congress over a week ago, yet everyone is careful not to mention that name.
This morning Glenn Beck told the whole story about Eric, mentioning his name many times.
Eric Ciaramella likely will soon receive a visit form Mr. Durham, with a grand jury subpoena in hand shortly there after.
Ciaramelly! Ciaramelly! President Trump will soon be delivering your glass slipper, little girl.
It seems like this could set a destructive precedent. If the dems manage to sell an argument that this person can testify in secret without being seen or having an identity revealed, what’s to prevent unknown, unidentified persons from charging a person with rape, assault or theft?

Yes, I could testify that I heard Nancy Pelosi was caught taking money from a Russian operative and promising them she would make sure President Trump was impeached.
Schiff has pretty much outed Ciaramella because he won’t allow his name to be spoken, won’t allow any questions about him, and insists on redacting the mention of his name.

So this guy was at the NSC under Obama and then went back to the CIA and then the “military” guy (Obama’s military)— McMaster—brought him back into the Trump Administration? And now he’s back at the CIA? Who the hell has been counseling the President to surround himself with Obama holdovers? On total and complete lack of vetting and lack of purging, which should have been jobs #1 and #2, even before the first inaugural ball had ended, Trump has been his own worst enemy.
Possibly because they know that, once the name is widely known, lots of regular people will google the guy and see his Deep State connections.
