The job shift to Milwaukee is tied to a Molson Coors plan to simplify its corporate structure and cut costs.

The company will move from a corporate center and four business units to two business units: one for North America and one for Europe.

The North America business unit will consolidate the U.S. and Canada units and corporate center, the company said, allowing to it maneuver faster with its large brand lineup.

Molson Coors will close its Denver office, with the MillerCoors Chicago office becoming the North American operational headquarters.

I’ve become a beer snob. I won’t touch any InBev stuff. No Miller/Coors. I stick with the imported German beer or the local craft brews. No IPAs. Brown ales in winter, pilsners in summer.

Couldn’t care less. Coors tastes like pish-wasser. Give me a good old Yeung anytime!

Yes. Too bad all they had to offer was watered down horse piss. I remember when Coors was a cult thing.

No more Rocky Mountain spring water. get used to ChiCongo sewer water and corn syrup.

This should pair nicely with the recently revived "Banquet beer" advertising campaign. Betcha Sam Elliot's voice-over will be gone when the next Coors ads debut.

No IPAs.

No IPAs!!! What??? I enjoy an occasional lager every now and then and brown ales or even Guinness is okay. But the big commercial beers aren't welcome in my home.

“MillerCoors will now be known as Molson Coors Beverage Co.”

I’m all FOR jobs in Milwaukeestan, DESPITE the current Mayor and all that have come before him in these past 112 years.

That said, my Great Uncles, who all worked for Miller, are spinning in their graves, I’m sure. ;)

I remember when Coors was a cult thing.

Yeah, the allure was totally based on unavailability. I remember drinking a can of the stuff while visiting relatives in Texas. The thought that immediately came to mind was "Well, this stuff is over-hyped".

The CEO’s of Coors and Guiness were having a drink together. The Coors boss ordered a Silver Bullet and the Guiness chief asked for a lemonade.

After getting a confused look from Coors, Guiness said, “If you’re not going to drink, then I won’t either.”

In the 1980’s these mergers would have shocked Colorado. But with all the micro brews today in the state, this will generate a shrug.
