Most of the men and women in prison are innocent. If asked, they will tell you so.

AS a true believer in the Bible he would not have taken that action, thus, it appears he was guilty of the claims against him.

While not as common as Catholic priests and young boys

There is no way of knowing that.

It isn’t as common? Do you have insurance statistics or a study to cite? My understanding is that the insurance rates for this type of stuff doesn’t vary by denomination indicating the risk is essentially the same.

Probably not. Unless of course, you have followed news and current events for the last 25 years.

"While not as common as Catholic priests and young boys - there is very much a problem with too many Christian pastors and clergy with young girls."

Actually, across the board credibly reported abuse cases involving Protestant clergy happen at a higher rate than do Catholic clergy. We just hear about Catholic clergy more because the Catholic Church is a bigger, single target with deep pockets. Plus it feeds on people's prejudices.

It's not just priests who sexually abuse children

+1

Agree completely.

Did we learn nothing from the tribulations of Justice Kavanaugh and Clarence Thomas?

Good riddance to this guy. At least he figured out that it was the end of the line and saved the taxpayers a lot of money that they’ll need to pay for medicare and college tuition for all.

Sodomy is an explicit sin in the Catholic Church. The great and tragic irony of our time is that many heterosexual men who sought to pursue holy orders over the last five decades were uniformly rejected from entering. (see book titled, Goodbye Good Men ) only the applicants that would bow down to the lavender mafia, still very much in power in the church , were accepted. So from Cardinals down to bishops down to priests the church has been infiltrated by sodomites. The statistics show that most abuse claims are by adolescent young men, and not little boys as the media and the misinformed try to perpetuate. Gay men like sex with young gay men. “It is impossible that scandals not come, but woe to you who by whom the scandals do come, better a millstone be bound around your neck and you be cast into the sea!”

Whatever the facts in this situation, all pastors (and Christian men) need to follow the Billy Graham Rule.

There is a higher abuse rate at both public schools and juvenile detention facilities.

It's every bit as common, friend -- and probably moreso. It just doesn't get the same type of publicity for obvious reasons.

Yep, CNN and MSNBC, WAPOOP and NYT are where you want to go to get unbiased information.

Those abused in the Boy Scouts might take issue with that.

I left the PCUSA when it removed the requirement that its pastors, elders and deacons be faithful in marriage and chaste in singleness. While issued to legalize homosexual sodomy in the clergy, my feeling was it would also unleash a general wave of sexual immorality in the church and its leadership.
