That appears to be an MSM slanted account of the suit - if my prior information was correct. The poor official in question was directed by Trump Admin not to testify and then threatened by Schiff if he failed to do so. When asked about it - he directed his question to the courts because the executive branch and legislative branch were directing him to take contradictory actions. Schiff immediately “fired upon” the official via the MSM claiming said official’s request for the court to decide was “baseless” and without merit and was a stalling/obstructionist tactic which made Schiff’s committee think less of President Trump’s assertions of innocence (as if THAT were possible!). So Schiff was demanding that the official abandon his request of the court to testify - I thought that was VERY inappropriate (e.g., can’t a person even ask what is legally required of him?).
Reading your quote again - I see the official is suing Trump AND congressional Democrats (it’s just worded to look like it’s directed at Trump). I’m shocked to see this dispute worded as if the official is suing Trump to be allowed to testify. The MSM is choosing to spin it to win it (for the deep state).
