Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky., said that President Trump's Wednesday announcement of a "permanent ceasefire" between Turkey and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) is an "extraordinary breakthrough."

Speaking at the White House, the president said that the conditions had been met by both sides and that the U.S. is lifting sanctions on Ankara that were implemented following the invasion of northern Syria.

"I do believe it will be permanent," he said. "This was an outcome created by us, the United States, and nobody else...we've done something very, very special."

About time for something positive from Paul.
+++++
Or anybody.

The positive comments about this tremendous accomplishment by Trump have been few and far between. All we hear is ISIS Unleashed, Abandoning the Kurds, our Former Friends for Life, A Gift to those Wicked Turks, Bloodbath Delayed only, What about the Oil Fields ...

I could go on. Sickening.

President Trump may well have take the first step in ending the war and enabling peace in a conflict that has killed close to a million innocent people and driven as many as 5 million into refugee camps in Turkey and Jordan

In doing so he has devastated the plans of the people who created, funded and organized the Jihadi insurgency in Syria

Many politicians profited from this and they will be screaming mad at Trump for shutting down their heavy train

I’ll say this again. Trump will resolve the Israeli Palestinian thing once and for all. Might not be to everyone’s liking, but it will extract us out of that mess, and bring peace to the ME.

Now that we aren’t dependent on those people for oil...they have no leverage.

The caterwauling from the deep state was very disproportionate when Trump started “withdrawing” troops IMO! When the deep state flinches it’s usually for a good reason!

“About time for something positive from Paul.”

Rand has supported the President on many important issues, he may not be perfect but he is head and shoulders above most of the RINOs in the Senate.

I was under the impression that only the Anti-Christ could solve that problem...I don’t think Trump will solve it.
