A review launched by Attorney General William Barr into the origins of the Russia investigation has expanded significantly amid concerns about whether the probe has any legal or factual basis, multiple current and former officials told NBC News.
Durham has also requested to talk to CIA analysts involved in the intelligence assessment of Russias activities, prompting some of them to hire lawyers, according to three former CIA officials familiar with the matter. And there is tension between the CIA and the Justice Department over what classified documents Durham can examine, two people familiar with the matter said.
Speed it up.
the Russia investigation has expanded significantly...

This is obviously a worrisome development for the cabal as it appears to be suggestive of a conspiracy. You can smell their fear.
Durham is unnerving them with his focused persistence. He must be getting very close to unraveling it all.
Great question. Reminds me of this from A Few Good Men...
Kaffee:
Crystal. Colonel, I just have one more question before I put Airman O’Malley and Airman Rodriguez on the stand. If you gave an order that Santiago wasn’t to be touched, and your orders are always followed, then why would Santiago be in danger? Why would it be necessary to transfer him off the base?
Sounds like Barr may be closing in on the Mastermind behind the whole Russian Hoax. Namely Brennan.
Barr. The guy who looks and looks and looks into things. Endlessly and permanently, forever. Great gig. You don’t have to actually produce anything and you get great pay and bennies until you choose not to prosecute. If this poseur were lowering the boom on anybody there be much stoner signs of it.
+100 and Adm McRaven! May they both hang!!
“Under that discredited theory, Ukraine, not Russia, hacked the Democrats in 2016. “ - the NBC article says.
I am so sick of being told any theory is “already discredited” just because the Dems deny it is true. The Biden events are “already discredited” as well as any wrongdoing with Hillary & emails. Bleh.
CIA needs to be put under DoD with a flag officer in charge of it and rotating every couple of years among the services.
Oh and if they did nothing wrong why are they hiring lawyers?
*************
Because its every man for himself now. Durham may well have flipped some people who identified all the moving parts. Those who refused to cooperate or are lying could now be in serious legal jeopardy.
“Durham has also requested to talk to CIA analysts involved in the intelligence assessment of Russias activities, prompting some of them to hire lawyers.”
Tisk, tisk. As far as I’m concerned, that means that they’re ALREADY paying a price for what they did. So it is a start.
Nobody hacked the DNC. Seth Rich took the data.
At some point, assuming Barr is able unravel this complex plot and expose the guilty parties, Trump is going to have to give an address to the nation describing in detail what went on and how he’s going to fix the accountability problem.
Restructuring of several agencies seems to be the only solution.
I agree.
“...amid concerns about whether the probe has any legal or factual basis”
LOLGF!!!
I sincerely hope these people die in a fire. Soon. Like, today wouldn’t be too soon.
Whether this evidence has any value is a whole different matter, but if you read the text of that motion, it's clear that Flynn's lawyer knew that the DOJ has these things in its possession. This raises the obvious question of just how they knew this when it would seem to be highly classified information.
The other remarkable angle to this was that the response filed by the prosecutors in the Flynn case seemed to suggest that they were completely unaware of the fact that the DOJ had this evidence in its possession ... even though the prosecutors are the DOJ.
Mueller was on the public payroll for two years.
That’s all.
Ideally it would be good if Trump could address the conspiracy in his upcoming State of the Union message. But that all depends on whether Barr/Durham can finish their investigation before then. Regardless, Trump will need to address their findings in a very public forum at some point in the hopefully near future.
Whatever form it takes it will be an unprecedented event of historical proportions as the seditious, political weaponization of our federal agencies can never be allowed to happen again.
The CIA needs to be burned to the ground and anyone who ever worked there should spend the rest of their disgusting life flipping burgers and asking about the fries.
Just like Watergate.
Very, very interesting. Powell must have some deep contacts inside the Deep State. And that must be unnerving a lot of people.
