“I am so sorry to see the names on that list who voted against our President. Nunes? Ratcliffe? Scalise? WTF?”

The ones that count:

Jordon
Gaeta
Meadows
Gohmert

Trump hit it on the nail. Pelosi is a 3rd rate politician by comparison.

We didn’t throw them under the bus, the Turks decided to invade. The Kurdish general sent his letter making a concession to the Turks to Trump and Trump relayed that- the carrot- to the Turks along with his own comment -the stick- in the hopes the Turks would reconsider, so as to avoid the stick. Apparently it was not a big enough stick, but congress hasn’t offered Trump any support, and certainly didn’t authorize him to use force against the Turks, because they want to violate separation of powers and micromanage foreign policy, so he used what he had, Erdogan decided to gamble, and so Trump’s going to double down on sanctions and thump the Turks economically.

I guess our definition of getting thrown under a bus isn't the same.

The Kurdish general sent his letter making a concession to the Turks to Trump and Trump relayed that- the carrot- to the Turks along with his own comment -the stick- in the hopes the Turks would reconsider, so as to avoid the stick.

Trump did refer to a letter he had gotten in confidence from the Kurds, and which he promptly sent to Erdogan. I don't imagine the Kurds appreciated that.

... and so Trump’s going to double down on sanctions and thump the Turks economically.

Not anymore. The sanctions are off because Erdogan generously agreed to accept everything we wanted all along. So what grounds would the U.S. have to sanction him on?
