Brutal wipeout for Democrats in Louisiana and the press trying to keep it quiet

The last of the Louisiana state election numbers are in and it's not pretty for the Democrats.

Not only does its moderate Democratic governor, John Bel Edwards, face a runoff as noted here, the state Senate has taken a supermajority. And a whole bunch of key state offices went squarely to Republicans. Funny how the press isn't covering this much.

But Guy Benson at Townhall is, and he found a Democratic Party "decimated":

Among statewide office-holders, the incumbent GOP Lieutenant Governor (68 percent), Attorney General (66 percent), Treasurer (60 percent, and Agricultural Commissioner (58 percent) were all re-elected without the need for a run-off, under the state's 'jungle primary'-style system. It also appears that the solid Republican majorities in both state legislative chambers will remain intact -- with the GOP expanding its Senate advantage into super-majority territory by picking up a pair of Democratic seats:

Pinch dem tails and suk dem heads. Sounds like a coonass rebellion goin' on down on da bayou. But, wouldn't "jungle primary" fall within the 'racis' moniker category?

These are the kinds of signs that if it were happening to the GOP, it would be heralded as a “sign of disaster.”

The signs are there that the dems are heading for a cliff in 2020.

I hardly heard anything in the national news about this.

John Bel Edwards got about 46% , but the two top Republicans combined got about 51%>. So in the runoff against just 1 Republican , Bel Edwards is in serious trouble.

Democrats sealed their fate in the south (and the midwest as well, though they haven’t realized it yet) during the Clinton years.. when they purged everyone who didn’t tow their radical leftist line... Blue Dog Dems were forced out...and party went on the path toward unchecked whackadoo..

Edwards got 47%. The fight is not over.

of course.

The so-called “news” media is a Democrat Party asset.

It was a shellacking for the Democrats in Louisiana last Saturday night.

People here are so angry at the Bel Edwards administration along with his cronies that he might as well say his goodbyes now.

You obviously haven’t spent much time south of I-10 in Louisiana, have you?

Bel Edwards has to gain more than 3% in the runoff. That’s a mountain, an impossible mountain.

Not even Fox has been on this. For anyone interested, there is a GoFundMe for Project Veritas whistleblower. He is out of work due to his patriotism.

I’d be happier if the brutal wipeout occurred in Battleground states (e.g. Virginia ).

Edwards got 47%. The fight is not over.

Plus there was another rat that got 1%. So given the exact same turnout next month we should expect a 52-48 victory for the GOP.

But we can’t expect the exact same turnout! It wouldn’t take much softening of GOP turnout to blow a narrow 52-48 lead. We need to be vigilant! Hopefully, President Trump will make another election eve trip to LA!

The runoff will hinge on the losing GOP voters showing up and re-casting their runoff votes for the GOP candidate.

Definitely not a done deal.

Edwards got 46.6% not 47%. If you want to tack on the 0.8% the other Rat got, then you can get Edwards to 47.4%

The three GOP candidates received 27.4%, 23.6%, and 0.8% for a total of 51.8% There was also a Conservative Independent running who took 0.8%, so you can probably tack that on to the GOP total as well.

From experience, dems aren’t as likely to show up for a runoff.

Roosevelt/JFK dems have gone on to their reward. Which is why the dems want illegals pouring in.

Yes even if and when they fall off the cliff, the media will STILL not admit this.
