MSNBC host Chuck Todd called President Trump's attacks on Joe Biden's son, Hunter, "vicious" and said that the network was not going to "reward" the president by airing them.
"President Trump held a campaign rally in Minnesota last night. There are parts of it we can't show you, or rather, there are parts of it we're not going to show you," Todd said Friday on MSNBC. "The president's red meat vitriol wasn't new. Neither was his use of profanity.
"The president went further than he's ever gone before. So we are going further than we've ever gone before to say we aren't going to play the sound. We aren't going to repeat the president's vicious attacks on Hunter Biden," Todd added.
The news anchor claimed Trump character "assassinated" Hunter Biden, saying it was particularly inappropriate because he was a private citizen. Todd noted the attack was "newsworthy" but that he could not air it in "good conscience."
Trump's campaign responded to Todd on Twitter Friday night saying, "Go ahead, keep protecting the Bidens and censoring the movement to #DrainTheSwamp." They then attached a video of Trump's attack.
The president attacked Hunter Biden for five minutes during his rally in Minnesota. As a part of the attack, he acted out a fake interview between Biden and Todd. Trump called NBC "one of the worst" networks and mocked Todd as being a Biden promoter.
The president and his allies have accused the Bidens of corruption over their dealings in Ukraine, pointing out that Hunter Biden was on the board of a Ukrainian gas company while his father was vice president.

it would seem to me that censoring part of speech like that would pretty much make almost anyone curious about what was being censored, regardless of which side one was on or what one believed ...
where is hunter?
(that’s a vicious attack?)
I’ll bet he doesn’t air vicious Leftist attacks against Minnesota Trump supporters either. Or misrepresents the violence as coming from his supporters.
The bible stopped recording events almost 2,000 years ago. There is plenty since then that is not in the Bible, and it can’t all be lies.
that’s a DAMNING STATEMENT. he is WRONG!
He should just change his name to Chuck Fraud.
But they gladly aired the vicious attacks on Don, Jr. and even 13 year old Baron Trump! The NY Times’ motto is “All the news that’s fit to print”. Now, the media motto is, “All the news that fits, we print”.

EFF Chuck Todd. Who even watches him anymore, but flaming libs??
Alexander Hamilton is rolling in his grave. These are journalists?
Todd is on NBC, NOT Fox.
How does Chuck Todd, a former staffer to Ex Senator Tom (Super Liberal) Harkin become an NBC/MSNBC Anchor?
He (Todd) is a former member of Dem/Super Liberal Ex Senator Tom Harkin’s Staff.
Quick question for anyone who knows. Once a Democrat nominee is established, are there rules governing this sort of thing? So far we have seen CNN give countless hours to democrats via Town Halls while not airing a single DJT rally. When the actual 2020 campaign starts, are there FEC/FCC rules that govern candidate coverage? If MSNBC/CNN flat out refused to cover DJT while airing his opponent’s events could this be seen as a campaign contribution or just freedom of the press?
Hello, I’m Chuck Todd. I’m 5’2”. I have small man syndrome.
Cheesy Chuck missed a great opportunity. Airing Our President’s comments on creepy joe’s useless son may have doubled msnbc’s viewership to a total of 2.
Mar 11, 2018 ... Chuck is not a tall guy, with the height of just 5 feet 2 inches.
