Didn't the media initially say that, because the victims were Hispanic, they were investigating whether it could be a hate crime?
The suspects have Hispanic names. That's a relief. It was a love crime, not a hate crime.

Could the police and journalists investigate whether this was a gang attempting to extort protection money; bartender refused; gangsters came back and shot up the place? I don’t know that any of that happened, but they ought to look for obvious explanations.
