Howdy! Oh, I am so happy for you! I’ll bet you’d like to be dancing in it! I hope ti’s a nice soaking one.
We haven’t had any since before my trip, so hubby was watering today. Cha-ching!
I did step out into it once it slowed down and did a little dance on the way to check the rain gauge. LOL Was outside earlier watching the lightning as the storms rolled in too.
We got a tenth of an inch a little over a week ago and that was the first rain since Aug. 28th. Just stepped out again to check the gauge and the rain has stopped. But it left an inch in the gauge. A front comes through tomorrow night and Monday and we should get another dose from that.
And cooler temps. It got up to 95 here this afternoon. UGH!
It was 85 at the museum when I left to come home. A big difference between here and on the mountain.
An inch! That’s fantastic! I know your flowers and lawn will be dancing for sure! I’m dang ready to get this cooler weather thang going already! I’ve just had enough of summer! It has outstayed its welcome!
I knew we’d gotten a decent amount tonight but was surprised to see we got an inch. VERY happy about it. The flowers are happy, too, I’m sure. I haven’t given them as much water as they wanted lately - just enough to keep them limping along.
I’m with you on wanting this won’t-go-away-summer outta here! Maybe today was the last of the 90s for us til next year. I sure hope so!!!!
I hope so, too. I think we have one more bout of it mid-week next week. I swear if it’s this way next year, I’m spending the summer in WY....my kids will just have to suck it up. LOL! Guess I could pay rent. :)
LOL! Could you handle sleeping on their sofa all summer? Might be worth all the cricks in the neck and back to be cool though. :-)
I don’t sleep ON the couch. I sleep behind the couch that separates the living area from my son’s computer area on the top bunk of a little set that is portable. it’s not bad, but it does take up a lot of his room, and all summer might be a stretch. Besides....the kitties here with hubby, who throws the food and water out and doesn’t stop to pet them. Still....it sounds tempting at this point.

Your kittehs would be very upset with you being gone all summer. Peaches and Ginger, especially. Might take all of them a loooooooong time to forgive you.
Or it might be they’d never leave your side for a second for fear you’d leave again. You’d be falling over them every step you take. LOL
No, I did that the first time I went and it was a disaster. It was lumpy from where people sit all the time. So my son thought of those little beds. I use the top one to sleep on...with a foam pad to give some comfort, and I use the bottom one to put my stuff out of the way. Callie can hardly wait for me to leave so she can play on it untill it gets taken down and stored. LOL!
I don’t think I could take much more togetherness from Peaches. I’ve had dogs give me more space, :) Just kidding...he’s so sweet.

Yeah, any more togetherness from Peaches would probably drive you up the walls. :-)
They didn’t actually buy it for me. They bought it so the girls could use it when I came to visit in OK and “borrowed” Piper’s bedroom. But it’s just easier for me to use it in WY because they have to share a room.

More in store the next two days here. I sure am glad they aren’t forecasting snow, like in your neck o’ the woods. We aren’t quite ready for THAT much of a cooldown. LOL

Gizmo was up and and at 'em this morning. he was carrying his Alpo bowl full of food whimpering and whining this morning
Yesterday he buried the bowl under the ramp. I had to get a rake to get it out. He is really a character. ((LOL))
