Well He should be easy to find now... They have got to find the real leaker.. Somebody who was privy to that phone call in July. It can only be a handful of people..
The Trump people know who the “whistleblower” “is” from the various “logs” that people who go to and work in the White House have to sign every day.
It is a simple job of eliminating those whose jobs don’t concern the Oval Office, intelligence, and CIA liaison (if he/she really is a CIA operative). Check the daily logs and employment/detailed record and see who fits the general time-line and work description.
There might even be internal log-in books/electronic sign-ins that could be checked by day and time, esp. if they coincided with the telephone calls in question and were anywhere near the rooms the president used for his calls.
PS: My wife worked for a former VP and had to check in everywhere she went including near or to the Oval Office. I had a Secret Service check and then check-in when I was with a group who was briefing Pres. Nixon on our fact-finding trips to So. Vietnam and Cambodia during the war.
The same for my press credentials access to the National Security Council, etc.
This person’s name is out there in plain sight. It is just a question of elimination until they know who it it.

While the President has an excellent memory, there's just too many obscure facts in the phone call that indicate it was not totally off the cuff.
In my humble opinion, I believe it was unlawful surveillance of communications by the CIA. He was placed there in proximity so that he could use the new whistleblower form but the conversation was probably electronically intercepted and analyzed back at the CIA headquarters. Deep State conspiracy and treason.
I doubt there was a leaker, it’s just a bunch of Schiff. A leaker would have had some actual accurate information.
